Getting back on it in Monday. I am in at 143kg so I have gained a little since falling off the wagon...

Understandable given all the alcohol that comes with the festive season.

OP updated.

Welcome everyone. Today is the first day of the wagon for most of us. Good luck! And don't give in. All the hard work will pay off!

Those of us who have lost weight before, knows the awesome feeling when you put on your clothes and they are too big... and you go digging for those pants you haven't worn in years!

Wees sterk, daars werk!

Current weight: 82kg (according to my not very accurate scale)
Goal weight: 77kg of lean mass before adding muscle

So my focus this year is fitness. I gained a lot of weight from stopping smoking (smoked for 18 years) and both my husband and I went through a retrenchment. Things are back on track, so I am starting a new cleaner and active lifestyle.

Starting: 95kg
Goal Weight: 70kg
Goal Date: 20 July 2016
Next Fitness Goal: Run first 5km by end of Feb 2016
Diet: Balanced - 4000kjs per day (with a cheat meal on Sundays - cheat in one sitting)
Method: HIIT, resistance and road running (5 days a week)

I am following the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide. I have the first two weeks in PDF - exercise guide and nutrition plan. If anyone is interested, pop me a PM and I will share the info with you.

Just for comments, so who managed to maintain or lose over Xmas? :D I'm super stoked as I still managed to drop 4Kgs from Dec to Jan. Was hard but damn it's worth it.

I've been stuck at 77 for weeks now, so definitely maintained.

I'm definitely not overweight in any sense (at 82, I was starting to swell out uncomfortably), but there is a still a quivering mass of horror around my mid-section when I bend over to tie my shoelaces without a shirt on, which is very much what I wish to get rid of.

I hate getting stuck, my weight didn't change much from the 6th Dec until the 24th, then suddenly between 24th and now I've dropped like 2-3kgs, don't know how or why.

Although I am trying out a low carb lemon syrup/water mix, might be helping get over the hump.

I need in on this thread, have slipped up in the past 6 months!

Hi Guys

What is the quickest way to lose a boep, I have recently bought me a road bike.

What other tips can you guys give me to get rid off it quick. I also want to start running and most people say it burns the boep away quicker. Any certain type of foods I can eat and what to avoid.
