The 2016 Way Less Objectivity thread

I suspect I've put on a Kg or two, as I've been making an effort to actually eat a bit more than I have been. Definitely would not want to dip below 70...

actually not too bad. Got a little hungry before lunch but hey, that's normal.

Day two now, 40 minutes to lunch time... feeling pekkish, but that's fine, nothing I can't stick out till 12 :D

Did you do LowCarb and intermittent fasting?

Drink a big glass of ice cold water. Helps with those pekkish moments.

Yeh, I suip water all the time... since I can't have my coffee with cream :(
/sad panda

You low carb'ed.... what is your stance on having a BPC in the morning during fasting?

I've never had a BPC.

But I do have my 1 or 2 cups of coffee with a splash of milk in the mornings.

Why no cream?

so from the video that Park posted, the dude said BPC is fine as it contains no sugar... because the point of fasting is get your body to get rid of blood sugar and glycogen stores... and then go into the fat burning state...

my question is.... if us on banting already cut sugar out the diet and depend on fats as a source of energy, is giving my body BPC not countering the effects of the fasting state of fat burning?

I think you are over thinking it.

IF is not some magical fat burning tool. It simply restricts calories consumed. It is a lot more difficult to over eat when you limit your eating window.

If you really want the BPC, just go for it. That is why I have milk in my coffee. Probably breaks my fast but I still don't eat any meals until 12h00.

o hang on... you never had BPC? WHAT!!!??? :wtf:

dude, seriously.... best.coffee.ever!

I'll probably try it one day. Just seems like effort and extra stuff to buy. So I just stick to a spoon of Jacobs, water, splash of milk and sweetener.

Don't you need to blitz that with a stick blender to get it nicely combined?

By extra stuff I mean MCT oil.

No, I love them carbs too much :p my loss have stagnated now though. I suspect I need to low carb, restrict calories, exercise in a fasted state or fast longer if I want to lose more. I'm fairly close to my goal now though and my wife said she doesn't want me to lose any more :D

For the last couple of months I have been eating only at night (so extending my fasting window) during work (week) days. Previously I would try to eat a low carb snack at 12 and eat a normal garb meal at night. On weekends skip breakfast and eat normal (including garbs) form 12 onward.

I don't do BPC either. Black - no sugar & no artificial sweetener. BTW I saw that Frisco has glucose listed as an ingredient so check your coffee.

I use a stick blender now, but only because my big blender is broken :( but yes... if you blend it up you get this nice foamy head and it goes brown like coffee with milk.

And I know it tastes disgusting, but trust me... I'm actually considering bringing my butter and coconut oil to work because BPC is so awesome! :D
at least try it once or twice.
