I tried out those interlocking foam gym mats in a 2x2 square. After around 15 minutes I noticed the two under my feet were pulling apart so I focussed a lot more on what my lower body was doing.
I'm actually starting to see muscles battling their teeny tiny way to the surface through the blubber, so becoming easier to convince myself to do it, even if I don't feel like it.
Had a really crap day at work, and a headache out of nowhere that took two panado's and a Neurofen to kill, but went for extra long walk and 2nd KB session, and feeling like a human again
Ab workout done. For the 1st time I'm full of sweat and knackered... and it's cause I changed the way I did it.
I watched a few resistance /calisthenics training clips today, so thought I'd take it slow and deliberate like they suggest. I'd hold the crunch and then slowly release back to original position. Man I was quivering towards the end on some of them.
Music really helps a lot to keep things interesting.
I managed to repeat the words of this song:
at around 170 bpm without too much effort, which was fun. Thinking really uses up a lot of oxygen, I love getting to clear my mind (or else it doesn't work).
So after hitting the gym hard June-Aug (last year) off then hard Jan to date. I have lost about 6kg since Jan BUT have had some unforeseen um I dont know how to put it um "good" side effects
Im not at all focused on bulking up. From my schedule you can see I am into the cardio I plan on running a lot of 21km races by the end of the year 10km race on Saturday will be my first proper race. I can do 30 minute 5km etc but want to do a lot more races. Really pushing the healthy lifestyle this year and going forward.
These are my running stats (im gyming to supplement the running):
Getting back to unforeseen side effects. As part of my usual cardio work out I include 15 minutes on the rowing machine... 6 months later 6kg down NONE of the shirts which I wear for work fit! All sleeves are about 5 CM too short! This is the same size/cut I have worn for 7 years! Was actually a strange realization, was driving to work on Tuesday and thought to myself mmm this looks WAY to short as it has been becoming shorter slowly but surely
Oh well 10 odd shirts need to be replaced. Oh well im healthier than ever so ill take that!
Me so far today.... I'll be at the office until about 6:30pm, from here to Rosebank for movie screening, and probably only home by 10pm. I brought my kettlebell in with me and am hoping nobody else stays too late here today so I can get my second session in later, and will do best to walk around the office while reading text book after work, and the mall pre movie, to hit step goal What have you people done to me?! (thankyou!)
