The 2019 Weight Loss Thread

Sorry to be a pain but my height is down as my highest weight ever :p

Edit: oops, think you’ve had a formatting nightmare dude, according to the list I need to put weight on to reach my goal. I wish :D
Fixed.

Was just making sure:p

Even though I think the scale is often a big fat liar, I'd encourage you guys to download a weight loss tracking app. I used to weigh every day and it helped me keep track of what foods would cause my weight to shoot up. This is the one I used... 33599950_611459675883424_4218085384241807360_n.jpg

myfitnesspal also has a weight tracker. So you can track food, weight and exercise all in one place.

Give me a summary explanation on adjusted weight?
Adjusted weight takes in consideration your current weight and ideal weight with BMI values(this is age and length with mass).
The adjusted weight in theory should be your target weight with current weight.
If you are over it should be less, if it is under it should be more.
It is a calculation of a healthy weight target of current.

In your case the healthy and best target weight to reach should be 79.6kg. Theoretically

Here is a quick sheet setup:

/snip

The BMI & MASS Ideal is a estimate calculation and should not be taken as sound medical advice.
The estimates are calculated based on height.
Ideal weight is the estimated healthy mass of a person with that height.
Adjusted weight, is the current weight taken in consideration and a estimation of what the target weight can be taken to.
BMI is as above
Please all a reminder, do not feel obliged to follow

I always feel cheated at weigh-in time. I obviously want to weigh as little as possible (so go to the loo for the morning routine) but that poo never wants to come out. o_O It always makes an appearance AFTER my morning cuppa at the office and then it's pointless!

Hi @Sugarman

Please add me to the spreadsheet, I've already started my journey.

Age: 27
Sex: Female
Height 154cm
Method: Running, HIIT, Healthy eating
Highest Weight: 95.7kg
Current Weight: 92.3kg
Goal: 65kg

Thanks.

It has not been the best of weeks. I am currently on 87kg.

Its quite frustrating. Ive been eating better and doing a fair amount of cardio.

You've done done 5kg already though since your starting weight? That's pretty good going. Minor ups and downs from week to week are normal.

Suggestions that I could make with the cardio is aim for workouts of around 500 cals or so (which for me is a 5 or 6k run) - many people do too many 1000 cal hard cardio workouts and then overdo the carbs afterwards.

Now might be a good time to mix in some strength training and occasional short, intense workouts such as HIIT or sprints/intervals seeing as you like your running and cycling.

Abt 4kg of biltong ready for healthy snacking!
