The 2019 Weight Loss Thread

Monday weigh in 90.5kg

Massive first week, I’m so pleased with a 3.6kg loss although my first reading of 94.1 last Monday was after a heavy weekend and must have included a lot of bloat (beer, chips and pizza etc)

Typical day was...

2 egg omelette with peppers and onion for breakfast
Sautéed veg for lunch then watermelon and/or pineapple
Veg curry and rice for dinner then a little fruit again.
4 or 5 cups of tea or coffee a day with milk and one sugar.
A large whisky in the evening.

Incredibly motivated to break into the 80s next week.

@Sugarman I'm about ready to throw my scale out of the window.... 86.9kg this morning.

Been doing my 5 minutes kettlebell daily, and hitting minimum 10,000 steps every day as well since Tuesday last week. We had a wedding Saturday at which I ate way too much, and beer and wine were on tap, so I'm going to attribute the spike mostly to that.... still, rather disheartening that one day off the wagon leads to such a large gain. Ah well, will keep at the steps and daily kettlebell... and trust that next Monday's weigh in will be an improvement.

Thanks again to @Sugarman for getting this thread going and tracking everything for everyone - it keeps me accountable and very aware of where I'm messing up and forces me to address it and fix it before it becomes a habit, rather than the exception.

Indeed.. 1 day can make the difference. Below is my measurements over the last 3 weeks. As you can see last week it went up and I contribute that solely to too much booze on Sat around the braai. I know I did not eat badly that week.

Hang in there and carry on... it'll recover.
