The Angry at "Clickbait" Thread

You mean, they should have said "Microsoft Edge gets hacked 5 times, Google Chrome unhacked in allotted time"?

A little cumbersome, but at least accurate.

So this article: https://mybroadband.co.za/news/secu...e-gets-pwned-google-chrome-is-unhackable.html

"Microsoft Edge gets pwned, Google Chrome is “unhackable”"

That title feels misleading

I disagree, no click-bait in the thread.

the title gives the impression that Edge got hacked many times, and Chrome was not.
the information given in the article, stated this. no click bait there.

sure it was only attempted once, but it was not attempted because the people involved knew there were no vulnerabilities to exploit. the one attempt that failed was someone who thought they had something, but did not.

One attempt was made to attack Chrome, but the team failed to expose the browser in the allotted time.

Suppose we need to know how this hackathon works. Do they have 30 mins to do as much damage as possible, do they get 5 minutes per browser to hack it as many times as possible or do they get 5 mins to hack it once?

So depending on that the title might be fine, but then it would be nice if the article explains what was done and how the competition works.

Unhackable means that it is bullet proof, which may not be the case from statements in the article. If it means that it possibly could have been exploited but for a time issue, isn't unhackable. The debate rages on.

Nah, it's fairly simple english.

əb(ə)l/Submit
suffix
suffix: -able
1.
forming adjectives meaning:
2.
able to be.
"calculable"
3.
due to be.
"payable"
4.
subject to.
"taxable"
5.
relevant to or in accordance with.
"fashionable"
6.
having the quality to.
"suitable" - WIKI
"Unhackable" would thus mean unable to be hacked - there's no evidence of that, only that it wasn't hacked. Perhaps "unhackable in the allotted time".

I also want to report that referring to the elderly as "old people" is sort-of offensive.

No it isn't. They are people. They are old. Krikey.
