Yeah, I haven't seen more than 99c, normally between 90-95c. Yes its true that one should get oil temp up to 90c operating temp to burn off water condensation in the sump from making frequent short trips where the oil doesnt get hot enough. This applies to all engines and fuel types though.

I redline mine all the time when I do short bursts in traffic. Accelerator pedal feels the same there, haven't noticed any difference, maybe a placebo effect? Mine sits just below 2000rpm at 130km/h.

Its probably geared to do 300 or something.

Oh, and mine rolls coal a bit when I floor it.
Never seen anything close to this economy in either Q5 or Q7

The real question is is the headliner sagging?
2010 Audi A3 1.8TFSI Ambition here with 137k km on the odometer, my headliner started sagging about 22 months ago. As the sagging is not too bad (and I am short) the solution for me was to lower my seat

Edit: the sagging probably started 2.5 years ago, eventually it started touching the top of my hair / head, that's when I noticed it and then 22 months ago I looked at the cost of addressing it.

2013 a4 here, starting to sag in back corners. The 2001 A6 I sold was full hammock.

You would think Audi would have sorted out the glue by now like other makes have.
As far as I understand it's not the glue that fails there's a very thin layer of foam backing behind the fabric and that's what it fails

So aricon stopped working on my A3 Sedan 2017, took it to Vagspec Cape Town and they say the Evaporator is faulty. Got a heart attack when I saw the quote, is this the price range I am looking at?

Labour seems about right as the whole dash needs to come out. And the part, while a simple piece of aluminium, is probably something only the OEM will sell as I'm sure it's not something in high demand locally.

Although that being said eBay pricing is a lot cheaper:

I think they gor the labour and parts prices mixed up. R1k to remove a dashboard?

Mine is also leaking gas, yet to find it though, hope they also don’t say evaporator. Gas lasts 2 years though.

Seems it is 10 labour units to do the work

It is a dash out job so the labour is probably not far off but ask whether that is a genuine Audi part and if so whether there are some cheaper option or even a used part because that's what's making the repair very pricey. Maybe Goldwagen will have the part.

You are just lucky yours doesn't have the issue some earlier A4's have where a part in the aircon grenades itself and spreads metal fillings through out the system which requires everything in the aircon system to be removed and meticulously cleaned inside, it’s a massive job.

Maybe try a regas for R600 and see how long it lasts?
I was there in middle December, that's when they re-gassed it and said nothing is wrong. Went last Friday again, and that was the finding after a deeper dive. Will see how long it lasts this time.

Let me check if it's a genuine Audi part, for that price it should be.
