Audi Claremont are so painful, mailed them last week Wednesday and was told I'd be contacted to arrange the service booking, haven't heard anything since. Mailed again this morning and still nothing.

Gave up and mailed Audi Centre Cape Town and vehicles booked in 5mins later..

Audi Airport you can do it online. Check that option next time. Think it is though Audi World.

That's nothing.. Few weeks ago in Kolonade parking a chop in his Merc reversed out of the parking and gunned it while on his phone. I had to swerve to dodge him and somehow got my first case of kerb rash (ever) on the back right wheel. Had to half cut into another parking spot from a sharp angle, had to decide between bumper bashing the other parked car, kerb rash, or T-bone on the passenger door

I think that the rock came off a Merc truck, while his damage was done by a wall that was brought in as bricks via the same Merc truck. Delayed time damage to Audi as vengeance for the A3 sedan giving Audi a record quarter?

Lololol. Clever!

The tyres I put on are Maxtrack Maximus M1's. HiQ swore by them so giving them a bash. Not dropping R4,800 per tyre for Michelin.

Reviews I read reckon the first 1000kms they are not cool, but once broken in they are fantastic. Hope this works out cause they are nice and cheap.
The owner of HiQ is running them on his SLK (another fkn Merc) and says they are awesome. Hold thumbs.

On my A6, the Michelin tyres cost R5,300 per tyre (265/35/R19). After about 4 years I changed to Toyo T1 sports (competitor to Michelin in Europe) at R2,400 per tyre. And could not tell the difference.

Eina! Glad I took the wheel and tyre plan so that I don't have to worry about wheel replacement or wheel repair costs

Running toyo t1 sports too, can't tell the difference with the Pirelli p zero Neros I used to have on - even with spirited driving

I called Mintys straight after I had fitted the biscuit wheel to check if the had stock (Toyos). They did but could not help me as they would only have about 20 mins to closing by the time I got there. No willingness to help me out.
So went to HiQ. They had to go collect 2 tyres from Tyre SA. After doing alignment etc... It was 18H00 - hour past closing time. No complaints from them at all and only too willing to help me out.
Hope these tyres work out cause I would much rather get my tyres from HiQ than Mintys going forward.

What is this plan you speak of? Does it include tyre replacement?

Tyre and rim warranty. Bought as a value added extra at purchase for about 3k. Basically an insurance thing where a company covers repairs and wheel replacement at certain values.

If tyres go in year one for example they might cover 100%, year two 80% etc. Rim repairs up to 10k I believe so I thought it might be worth it

Add in petrol expenses and allow me to burn through your first tank like Schumacher and you have a deal :D

Hell yes, the Q5 is my first choice anyday :D But it's all about the value and generally I can only afford 2009 with muchos mileage, but I think I found a decent one. Just need someone to give it the once over
