The Audi Thread

Never had to but you connect the supplied compressor to the spare tyre, connect it to the 'battery' terminals in the engine bay and then pray that it works.
How do you get it back in the boot afterwards?

Let the air out of it I presume, either via the valve or a knife would be quicker if you are in a hurry.
I like how you dont need a jack and can use the air suspension to jack the wheel off the ground.

Yeah, if you have air suspension it has jacking mode, I went for conventional steel sprung suspension as I wasn't keen on R10k shock/bag replacements per corner or compressor failures or valve failures or line failures, etc.

Never bothered insurance has road side assistance.

I drove BMW with normal tyres which suppose be run flats lol

Good choice...

Good luck waiting on the side of th road for assistance.

Its not a full size spare, the tyre looks compressed somehow, 20inch fitting in a 15 inch hole. I wouldnt want to be sitting on the road side faffing with a user manual.

I see alot of VAG 3.0Tdi users here , I think it would be good to do a coffee run, have a chat look at each others mods etc. Even open it up to guys with the 1.9TDI and 2.0TDI - maybe even all VAG guys here - just a suggestion

Sorry, what’s happening in that video? That looks like someone’s house.

This is what I have gathered...

A workshop is run from a house, people entrust the owner of workshop to service or repair their vehicles, the owner of the workshop never services, repairs or returns the vehicles, strips them for spares, gives the vehicle owners the run around, intimidates them, etc.

Ex-Audi mechanics and/or moonlighting ones operating from their houses catching on intimidations.

I linked it for a reason ie. meaningful discussion.
