It wasn't a great game, but at least it's a win. Somma doesn't seem to be a 'killer' like Mphela, but he will have to do for now. Dropping Mokena may be a bold statement (he obviously can't make the next WC) but why replace him with a 29 year old with a handful (10 I think) of caps? Once again the subs didn't really change the game, I hoped that this is something which would change. There are going to be games where we need a late sub to save us.
The crowd was very dissapoiting. Only 15 000 people, bad show Rustenburg.
I agree with you. Somma doesn't have that killer instinct. just after his first goal he had 1 decent chance and 1 that he should have put away but failed to do so. Also, I think Somma only has 2 caps for us.
As for the crowd, I didn't expect a huge turnout in Rustenburg. Bafana have the ability to sell out only in the big cities.
Somma does only have 2 caps, but he's 25, and rather new to the SA set up. As for the crowd, Bafana, got 44 000 last game in PE, over 40 000 the last time that they were in both Nelspruit and Polokwane.
We need mostly local based players to play together a lot more. We clearly cannot rely on the overseas players as most of them are not getting game time.
I've said it so often, but I'd rather have a player playing in the PSL very week, instead of being a benchwarmer or worse in Europe. Parker sat around doing nothing at Twente before his move to Greece. Kagisho Dikgacoi is also doing nothing at Fulham. It's all good and well going to Europe, but you need to play!
Who was the other guy with the other guy with the dreads on the right side? I thought Ngcongca the right back created the most attacks as well as both goals coming from his side.I dunno that Tsabalalalalala's only aim is to skop that ball in the direction of the goal last night, and the other guy with the dreads on the right side kept losing the ball everytime he touched it... they were both piss poor

You are right about Tshabalala, he was very poor by his standard. Even the set pieces were shocking.
I watch bits of the first half and the full second half with no sound so couldn't hear his name. He did have good vision tho when he wasn't under pressure.
I think you are referring to Reneilwe Letsholonyane. He is the only other player that has dreads and he came in for Steven Pienaar only in the second half (IIRC).
I was disappointed with the amount of game time given to the new comers such as Matty Paterson and Thulani Serero. Pitso should realise that those will form the core of the squad from now on. Mokoena, Dikgacoi, Sibaya etc should be phased out slowly.
So which soccer team do you support...and what have they done for you lately?and your point is?
47th geeeezzz......... is that something to be proud of.
get the politics out of safa with the rest of the clowns, then i might take the mamparas maybe serious
Well rumours is that SAFA is looking for R1 billion compensation to air any soccer matches in SA...
So I'm guessing that we won't be watching any soccer in SA in the foreseeable future...
