They played SSU. Other teams are also due to carry on with the league program so I don't see how Pirates are special. They play teams with players in the CHAN in any case so it's not like they're especially disadvantaged. The league program does not appear to be making them play more games to catch up.

Yes it was Supersport not Wits. I think their grueling African Champions League campaign was taken into account when they were excused.

The PSL messed up tge schedule. They kept postponing Pirates matches instead of moving them to midweek.
 
Nigeria will always be a power in competitions like this. They're the most naturally gifted team in the world. It's no wonder they've won a few Olympic medals.
 
As mentioned before, the under-23 players should have been used. I've never been a GI fan tbh.

Sure, but they have a barely functioning league, while the PSL is called the best in Africa.
 
Exactly, that's the indictment about the standard of our league and football in general.
