Word of advice, dont use foil. Also dont make the base too thin, the tomato paste also tastes k@k. At least the toppings are devine :D

Edit. Tastes much better this morning, there is something missing though, next time ill have to include cottage cheese on the base, and definitely cut is some olives.

It's dark chocolate Friday! Who's with me?

Tucking into 4 squares of a very smooth slab of Frey 78% with a NESPRESSO Vanilio on the side - much needed after a challenging work week.

Do any of you guys use magnesium or potassium supplements? What's easily available?

I take some of the cheap calcium+magnesium tablets when I get cramps in my legs. Only happens when I do a lot of running and am eating LCHF. Works well to alleviate said cramps.

Thanks. Where do you get them?

Just make sure you use magnesium citrate as it is the only form that can be absorbed by your body. Must say when my doctor informed me that I was literally flushing SlowMag in the toilet, I did not believe him until I started using the citrate form.... HUGE improvement-I have fibromalgia and arthritis.

I made the bacon cauliflower thingy last night ....... omg, so glad I stumbled onto that here. Was scrummy.

So which tabs/brand has citrate?
It's strange that they would make slowmag (which is very popular) if it can't be absorbed by your body? Link to this info?

If you enjoy a good bowl movement ;-)

Seriously though, the Slow Mag was recommended by a specialist and has worked straight out the gate.

Both work, and both have their places, glad to hear citrate is working for you. However, if you suffer from any sort of bowel or stomach disorder, such as ulcers, you should rather stick to chelates.

Magnesium Citrate can have a laxative effect, unfortunately. Approach with caution.

What base did you use, I made one the other day with Psylium husk (Used this recipe: LINK, minus the tomato paste), was awesome. I think you may need some green pepper in yours.

Bookmarked. I usually use an almond base. However this is nice to avoid nutty carbs.

Anyway, i used All Gold Paste.
It tasted much better the following day. But all it needed was olives to give it that distinct pizza taste.

78%? You call that dark chocolate? 90% or bust! :D

Things I learnt this weekend:
Peppadews have sugar in the ingredients and are something like 15g carb per 100g :(
Woolies have a buy 2 get 3 special on white button mushrooms, works out to R42 for 750g
Spar is still selling sirloin and rump steak for R73/kg <3
Darling brand "Cream" tastes like skim milk watered down with sugar water
