Lost 10kg on a lowish carb diet over the last month and a half. Gained some during the festive season and whilst on leave, but managed to get back on track since I went back to work.

My grub I bought with for work:
- Breakfast: Some double cream yoghurt with a half teaspoon of cacao powder sprinkled over. Normally use cinnamon but ran out of it.
- Mid morning snack - Two slices of smoked ham and two small slices of cheese.
Lunch: Leftover braai from last night. Chicken drumstick and piece of boerewors.

Anybody got a good recipe for rib basting?

Also, any hints on a good butcher around Joburg who carries smoked but unmarinaded pork ribs?

Used to work in a building next to Frys. Don't know what they did but the smells made my mouth water and I'm a serious carnivore.

As requested by fanie. The recipe for the buns I used for tonight's burgers.

View attachment 411816

Oopsie Rolls

3 eggs, separated
90g plain cream cheese
½ teaspoon baking powder or cream or tartar
pinch salt

Method:

Preheat oven to 150 degrees.
Line a cookie tray with baking paper.
Beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff peaks form.
In a separate bowl, mix together the egg yolks, cream cheese and baking powder.
Gently fold the egg whites and cream cheese mixture together.
Scoop 6 bun-sized circles of the mixture on to cookie tray.
Bake in the middle of the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool before eating.

Absolutely stunning.
thank you

5 days - and 0 loss. I'm clearly doing something wrong :(
My days are usually the following:
Morning - Omelette with chicken or Bacon + Cheese + Creamy Mushrooms at Mugg & Bean OR Simple California Omelette. I usually pop into Mugg before work every morning to do some work.
Lunch - NOTHING
Dinner - 5 chicken sausages + salad OR Bowl of beans OR +/- 300g of Chicken + Salad

If eating out for dinner I aim for fried fish + haloumi, or steak and veggies.

Water is approximately 1-2L per day, Coffee is 4 and Coke Light about 3.

Weight plateau isn't necessarily indication of absence of fat loss.

I'm sure I could have worded that better.

True but maybe avoid the beans. Also, M&b will spike their omlette with carbs. Try cook night before if a rush or a good meal shake for breakfast.

5 days is not a problem though, give your bod time to adjust.
