The Banting/LCHF Thread

What, you still don't see it?

jeeeeez.
The "I do" before your bolded bit was in reference to putting a few drops of lemon juice into water.

Which is pretty harmless given the quantities. Selective reading again?

Unbelievable that there can be so many carbs in a lemon.

Yup. Carby doesn't have to equal sweet...
Have you started reading the labels of all the foods you buy? If not, do so. You'll be shocked how prevalent sugar is...

I have & it has left me distraught. Meat & fish is very nice indeed but surely there must be more than that?

Eggs, bacon, cheese, cruciferous veggies... loads of magic can be done with cauliflower...

Is there a glitch in the Matrix?

How was that measured, I wonder?
Remember, muscle stores glycogen which contains water? So dropping water out of your muscles may lose muscle mass? I dunno...?

I just thought the forum was bust, this question was posted a few times.

Was it ever answered?

People who don't agree with lchf posting in the lchf thread
Nope, just those who don't advocate throwing the baby out with the bath water. No fruit or tomatoes indeed. It's nice to find something that works for you, but to advocate for not touching fruit or many veg because they were available for only one or two weeks a year to our ancestors... that's bull.

There is no one size fits all, but I agree that we overdo everything these days - everything is too convenient so we stuff ourselves on the things we like. I guarantee you that meat, cheese, butter, etc. was not available to our ancestors in the quantities that LCHF dieters eat so the ancestors point is twang.

Wow, you need to have your reading disability addressed. Yet again, selective picking, choosing and misinterpreting.

My point regarding evolution was that "YOU DON'T NEED TO EAT FRUIT", not "FRUIT IS BAD" because it wasn't available.

If you don't like the fundamentals of LCHF, why are you hanging around in this thread?

Fruits have been hybridised over the last century or so to make them much sweeter than they originally where, so they have a much higher fructose content these days.

^ this. Fruit of today is not like fruit of yesteryear. Today's fruit is akin to candy and should be treated as such. If you are overweight then lay off the ****ing sweets!

The idea that fruit is necessary, even good for you, is completely misguided propaganda intended to bolster agricultural industry in the states.
Ok, so perhaps your point is that 'fruit is not good for you'... not 'fruit is bad'? I dunno.

Why does everyone have to agree to discuss? Yoh!
