The Banting/LCHF Thread

As far as I know, the dislike for soy based foods is more because they contain chemicals that act similar to female hormones.

Ah. Fermented soy products have been eaten for centuries, and Kikkoman is a proper fermented soy sauce. I avoid modern newfangled soy frankenfoods.

Ja Kikkoman is the only way to go really. I give people hell when I spot that nonsense R20 'soya sauce' in their kitchens. :P

I got some from the Asian store a while ago, cant remember the brand though as I couldn't read the name anyway:D. Ingredients was fermented soya and it was not expensive, so maybe Kikkoman is just a little bit of branding premium.

Lindt slabs on special at Eastern Cape Checkers stores until 22/03 - R26-99

I just grabbed 10x 85% as, judging by the PnP pricing madness, we won't see this price again due to R/$

Also, John Dory's here has started offering cauli-mash instead of chips. Going there tonight to have my favourite - their Portuguese Steak with egg on top and sliced chorizo+onions in a spicy sauce will be superb with something to soak the sauce up with :)

Had an awesome meal at John Dory's tonight as I alluded to above. Their caulimash was brilliant and soaked up all of the juices from the spicy chorizo+onion sauce.

Added a Top Up of calamari for the hell of it.
