How long can one stay on this diet? Also, does it not perhaps damage your kidneys/liver in the long term?

Gosh. Chocolates, double cream, mascarpone, wors.....but heaven forbid you eat a potato.
It doesn't make sense to me. How long can one stay on this diet? Also, does it not perhaps damage your kidneys/liver in the long term?
This is a lifestyle, not a diet. Why would your liver be damaged when you stop eating processed crap and start eating real food.
...and thus it will not damage your liver when you eat it.Not to split hairs but a potato is real food...

True. Sorry missed that. Just read liver damage and repliedbokdrol's post specifically mentioned potatoes
I realise the reason you guys stay away is because of the carbs.

No solid proof that Noakes is directly responsible, but slowly, carb consumption is being reduced....
I chow cauliflower mash as a mashed potatoe substitute - often. Flipping love the stuff. Wife makes it with cream and stuff. Dunno what. Just tastes damned good.Time to invest in cauliflower and almonds![]()

I actually don't even like potatoes anymore, bought some slap chips the other day as a "treat" and ended up giving them away to a streetkid. Turnips and cauliflower are much tastier and I use them in stews in place of potatoes to give some bulk.
