Harrass Xarion until he goes and put up the kit on LF, Rietvallei on PTAWUG side is ready to connect.

the wug growth is getting out of hand, lucklily highsites are upgraded and more highsites put up as the wug grows, so the speeds and bandwith stays quite constant

Not sure if anyone has mentioned but the WUG also offers free mirrors for Linux distros, patches as well as Windows update and antivirus updates thanks to our generous users! This will definitely save you from getting capped. I learned the hard way..

If I don't have LOS to a highsight (i'm on the ground floor) and I don't wanna climb on a 3 story high roof, will i get any worthwhile signal with a >=9dBi omni? Does anyone use 2.4G or 5.8G omni's in the PTAWUG?

not using omnis to connect as a client - use a grid or panel if you are close. Without LOS you wont be able to connect.
