in durban and wanted to get some more details on the durban group so downloaded an irc client as i aint used irc in years. logged in to server and got zero response from anyone. was most depressed about that. even tried joining one of the other channels and asking there but was ignored as well. oh well, will try again this weekend and if i still get no joy i'll just drop the idea.
 
well, do you have coverage - thats what you need to check 1st. =)
 
no clue if i have coverage. in the dwc forums however theres a guiy connected who stays like 1km from me and he has one mean mast up so i can more than likely connect. just wanted to find out a bit more about it first. as in would the gear i have atm be enough to connect

They may have been down at the beach Friedpiggy... We don't have a beach up in JHB, so we are usually in irc, just waiting for new people!

I'm sure no one was ignoring you, often people are logged into IRC for the entire day but are not necessarily at their PC.
not sure if you PMed me on IRC with your email address if it was you then i did reply to your orginal email about 15 minutes after i received it. maybe it got lost in cyber space or was someone different

email me some pics from your place and i can tell you if you have LOS to an active node.

You're playing right now... again...

I suppose having new competitors all the time makes it quite interesting, but there are other games being played as well. You don't have to be stuck on one of the CSS servers all the time.
