530D will also be a low revvig engine as it produced more torque therefore it will live longer.

A friend of mine sent me a screenshot in 2016 when he refilled in Bloem en route to JHB from CPT. He’d just bought the car, and was impressed that he’d managed 4,3 l/100 even though he’d been cruising most of the way at 130 km/h

My dad got himself a 330d just before he retired after owning a string of 320d models. He now drives it like he’s 18, and gets similar figures

That note about being sold without a roadworthy is worrying hey. But the real reason I can’t look at the F30 generation is it didn’t support Android Auto and Car Play. I can’t imagine going back to not having in-dash navigation. Does anyone know if the F30 LCI had Car Play? From the one pic I’ve seen, it looks like it had a more modern colour interface, which gives me hope that maybe the F30 LCI could work for me (because as we all know G20 is still ridiculously expensive).

All I can find is people doing aftermarket retrofits, but I don’t know if any supplier in SA offers that. I definitely wouldn’t try it myself.

I can confirm that the LCI F30 did come with Apple Car Play. Those with it are rare though
 
Taken a quick drive out of Jhb for the weekend , my car still amazes me , some shitty traffic leaving , and still some decent fuel consumption

Serviced by BMW , beside normal wear and tear , only Fly wheel had to be replaced at around 18500km

As at this morning 300K :)

She still drives as good as the day I got her.



Nov 22 had the Vbelts and Pulley replaced, Last week had rear disks and pads done.



Still getting around 980 kms from the tank



Still to be done , had a run in with a pedestrian so need to get the bonnet pulled in 2 places.



Overall still very happy
 
Anyone here tried dirty diesel? 500ppm

Some camps are saying its good to add a litre or 2 when you fueling up as the high sulphur promote better lubrication of the high and low pressure fuel pumps and also lubricates the injectors , anyone tried this? I have only used 50ppm from the total near me as they are they cheapest in my area.
