The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Do you think it is? How long have you been using it?

I've been using it for a month and I don't know what to look out for, I'm a newbie.
If anyone else is using this brand, is it working for you? is there something better that won't crash your budget?

That's the thing. These types of products feels to me like I'm wasting money because I'm not juicing.

Which is why I love working out alone in my garage.

I don't have anything to prove or show off to anyone.

Of course it has it's downfalls too. Like I can't push my limits too much because I have no spotter available. And a partner might motivate you more on some days.

But then again. That is where discipline trumps motivation for me.

Marathon.... Not sprint!
Ditto
Haven't been inside a public gym since the early 90s.

Not having a spotter sucks.

I'm sure I could push more on the bench than I currently do - but I'm nervous of killing myself.

I tried a new exercise yesterday out of necessity, really wanted to hit the chest but all the benches were occupied

weighted push ups with a 32kg kettlebell on the waist, felt good man I haven't struggled with push ups since I was in my teens :D

Share some pics of your guys home gym :)

I'm wanting to setup my own in the garage.

I'll snap some pics over the weekend and share.

We moved house recently so setup changed a bit (more compact and better organised). And I still need to put back my cable system for face pulls and cable crunches.

Guys.

I still have a sealed USN Whey Protein of 3.2kg available if anybody is interested.

It is Wheytella flavour and I'll let it go for R400.

I'm trying to get most of my protein from whole foods now which means I'm cooking chicken breasts in bulk every Sunday. They Whey is just going to gather dust. I'll just be keeping a small Casein on standby for emergencies now.

I shared some pics of my cage build in the previous thread but will take some of the current setup as soon as.

Equipment (his and hers):
3hp Treadmill
Orbital trainer - sold (hardly used)
Vibra-machine
Multi station with 80kg stack, dips, leg raisers, leg extension, lat pulldown, tricep pushdown, curls, various rows (seated, upright, etc.)
2x straight bars
1x Curl / EZ bar
1x pull-up bar
1x punch bag
2x adjustable dumbell bars
Various sets loose dumbells (15kg-1kg)
Loose weights (4x10, 6x5, 8x2.4, 4x1.25, 4x1)

If I could pick one piece of equipment I'd really like, it's powerblocks or the bowflex adjustable dumbells:

Alright, put up 95kg for 5 reps on flat bench today.

Last time I could do that I weighed 83 kgs.

This time around I'm 78.5

So that is June-September to get back to where I was on my favorite lift. Not as strong as I was on all lifts yet, especially legs and biceps. Not as big as I was either, but getting there.

Nice.

5 full ROM reps?

Yeah, I've always touched my chest to the point where if I don't do it now, it feels weird. I have no gripe against people who don't though, some people have injuries etc that prevent it.

But since I've preferred 5x5 since I started it's just what I default to

Back on the horse starting Monday. Still haven't sorted my shoulder out (scan came back, and it's calcified tendons - will require surgery) but I just can't wait anymore. I've withered away, and developed a boep! Doing anything overhead is going to make me cry, but... must... lift...

Did a little bit of Tyre flipping again.

I am finished. No getting out of the bed tomorrow
