No they are not. Even the on-label use (hormone replacement, for example) is very low dosage, like one ampule/shot/whatever of test per month, as opposed to two per week for anabolic use.

Some of those side-effects are horrific. You have to absolutely get your GP on board if you're going to take them irregularly... Monitoring is important. Enlarged heart is one of the worst things I believe.

LOL. You have to really go over the top for horrific side-effects to show. A mild cycle, like a shot of Sustanon a week, is highly unlikely to cause any.

Depending on a number of factors, your own condition included. All of which you're not qualified to diagnose.

True, inherent heart problems, blood pressure issues, etc etc.

But even a mild cycle is not likely to cause any damage. Except it's expensive  And the effects are not permanent. So it's a constant waste of money.

Trying to buy Takealots deal on the 2kg Whey Protein but it won't work, not sure if it's a Capitec issue or a Takealot issue.

Oh well.

If this myprotein thing is happening, I'm down for that. I'm in CPT.

Edit: I got the thingy to work lol. Got my protein yesterday.

Yeah, you have to go in for the long run if you want results - too many users don't get that. They think that anabols are a fix all. It's still hard work.
I'll not lie, it's very tempting to consider when you hit your 40s, especially when you see your natural motivation drop off... couple that with results others are getting and it becomes compelling, but I'd personally rather come to terms with aging and generate my own testo through maintaining hard workouts.

Got round to having my shoulder looked at. Had a sonar, and turns out my impingement is caused by a calcified tendon - I got injured somehow a while back (can't for the life of me remember it), and good guy body decided to "fix" itself. I've been referred to a specialist whom I'll only see mid December to figure out what to do to sort it out permanently.

Against my better judgement, I decided that I'd been idle for long enough because of it, so joined a local gym about a month ago. Been out of it for a while, so decided to get my body used to moving again by cycling and rowing. Slowly increased the duration over a 2 week period, and then decided to start 5x5 again - if it hurt, I'd stop. I've finished the 2nd week now, and haven't had any pain while lifting - sure, I've started the program right at the beginning, so not going heavy yet. But, my shoulder actually feels better? As in the pain when idle and moving about normally has drastically reduced!

Go figure.

This is exactly where I'm at now... I just turned 42, and while I can see changes, I just feel a little demotivated that my 'gainz' aren't the same as some of the other 'younger' guys I see in the gym, and also my occasional 30-something gym partner. I know from my medical this time last year that my test levels are a bit low, but they still fall into the 'normal' range, so HRT isn't really an option at this point. It was this time last year that I started researching test and cycling - and now after a year, I am back at that point with the same questions in my head.
If I was 10 or more years younger, I definitely wouldn't! But I also don't want to wait 4-5 yrs of slow progress to get close to my goals. I train hard 5x a week, and my diet is pretty good, so I know I should be seeing better results than what I am. So for me it's kinda a toss up at the moment, either I get a trainer or a do a cycle. And the only thing turning me off about cycling is the fact that just doing 1 cycle will not be enough!

Well you can't do just one cycle. You either use or don't, there is no grey area with roids. Once you stop using all the gains will disappear

Hurt my lower rightish back last week Sunday dropping weights. Pains to sit down and drive. Also sometimes the pain goes into right leg.

Standing, running and general moevement is fine.

Its been a week and although I havent fulled stopped and rested, I expected it to heal by now.

Anyone experience this before. Dont want to visit a doctor just for pain meds and anti inflam

Is it mostly painful when you twist at the hips?

Ice, massage, foam roll, heatpad or stretching, if none of those work best see a doctor

Either that or wait it out. Probably a pinched nerve - anti-inflams will speed recovery.

Question - until now my pwo has been creatine free. I drink a bulk shake at 4:30 am before training that contains creatine 5g followed by my creatine free pwo. Now I've bought a pwo with creatine in it - can I drink to the two together? Also at current I have another 5g mono creatine serving in the afternoon.

Not a big deal at all. Your body will absorb what it can of the creatine and you will pee away the rest.

OK phew :) thanks for the feedback.

I've bought some SSN mass builder shake now to drink in the mornings and that is creatine free.

On another note - I did a PB this morning on deadlift - 140kg 6 reps. Maybe not massive for some but was great for me. I warmed up with 10 reps of 80kg, then 100kg 8 reps, 120kg 6 reps then 140kg 6 reps.
