The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

my legs are still on holiday but atleast I didn't lose any pulling power in fact I think I came back stronger, 3x5 muscle ups and weighted pull-ups in the bag :D

And for something different:

What do you call a Mexican bodybuilder who runs out of protein?

No Whey José.

Working out at home,

I have just started working out home by doing basic exercises as I would like to build a better body, but also learn a little discipline.

I am currently doing normal push ups(Arms in line with shoulders and hands slightly wider.), lunges, crunches and a few planks. I am using sets of 10, and currently can only manage 2 of each before I get nauseas.

I would like to find a few variations, or ways to target muscle groups by using body weight exercises in the mean time.
I cannot afford to join a gym, so I am doing what I can afford.

PS. If anyone has a pull-up/chin-up bar for sale I would like to buy it from you as I believe that pull-ups/chin-ups are quite effective.

The muscle groups I would like to target are the standard I guess. Biceps, Triceps, Shoulders, Pectorals, Bum, Thighs. How would I go about building a routine that can cover all of my wants?

How much do you think gym fees are that you cannot afford it? No cash being freed up in the coming months? To give you an example I pay R169 pm on a 2 year contract (I have a year left) at Planet Fitness. You have to haggle with them.

Its rather difficult to target muscles without equipment/machinery designed to do so.

The good thing about a gym contract is that it is some motivation to go to the gym to get your money's worth - this is sometimes my only motivation :D

Try the app called 30 day fit. My wife used it before she joined the gym and saw good results.

Some pretty damn good deals on supplements on the eBucks shop if you are on RL5.

All supps are 30% off at the moment and then additionally you can get another 40% off on RL5.

However. Checkout is broken on my side so can't finalise my order of a few months supply of creatine, vitamins, fish oil and amino pre workout. Aaargh...

divide your workout into a Push/Pull/Lower/Core, start with 6 basic exercises and rest 1 and 2 min between each set. 2 sets of 10 isn't gonna get you anywhere cut those reps in half and do sets of 6,6,5,5,4 for more volume expect reps to drop off towards the end. Im not sure what your actual strength levels are, here's a list of exercises to help you build a routine pick 2 from each group and follow the rep scheme and see how you get on

push
pushups
diamond pushups
decline pushups
archer pushups
dips

pull
rows
inverted rows
pull ups

core
leg/knee raises
plank
windshield wipers
L-sit
dragon flag

lower
lunges
reverse lunges
shrimp squat
pistol squats (goat bodyweight leg exercise)

exercises are grouped from easy to kuk hard

Prices are solid. but have to factor in delivery fee

Finally managed to checkout.

Delivery was free for my order. Think it falls under the Happy Holidays Promo where delivery is free.

Thanks a lot Apoc184! After reading about the delivery fees i lost interest, but after reading your post I went back through the checkout process and also got free delivery. BCAA's sorted for next few months :D

Pleasure.

I was tempted to grab a bottle of the MuscleTech CellTech Creatine Formula until I saw each serving has like 180 calories and almost 40g of carbs. That will be a big no-no on my current cutting cycle.
