The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Hi guys. I want to have shoulders like Tom Hardy. Is this dangerous?

I'm trying to figure out if that will even hit your shoulders good enough?

Seems more like it will hit the chest and triceps hard. Like a decline bench.

guys, I'm looking for some tips on specific exercise that targets my lower abs.

I'm starting to see some nice results, but the fat at lower section is very stubborn!!! :(

More total body workouts? HIIT also I guess .

Look at your diet before excercise. You can't spot-reduce stubborn fat.

ok thanks guys. I've done a lot of adjustments to my diet as I am trying to bulk up. As part of my workout I am seeing some results on my stomach but the lower abs not really. Just wondered why thats all.

CodeMaster already nailed it.

Diet. And more importantly, consistency in your diet.

No matter how much you exercise a muscle, if it is covered by fat it won't be visible. Yes it will be big and strong but it will still be covered under fat.

Thats great man. Getting a handle on diet is the toughest part of gettinh results.

If you're trying to bulk its gonna be difficult to get rid of the stubborn belly fat. That usually requires a calorie deficit and some good HIIT. Maybe in the morning...

Hardest part to get rid of fat in that area. Seems to hold on for dear life

totally understand what you saying.

My primary goal right now is to bulk up. Im eating a lot of clean carbs and lots of protein. My understanding is to build muslce I need MORE than I usually need. Calories in a day.

the stomach has just come as an added bonus really. totally unexpected. In between my usual workout, I do some stomach stuff. That is when I started noticing that I was getting some nice results.

I wonder if Im not eating enough calories hence the stomach fat burn and lacklustre arm muscle growth.

Just like women are influenced and feel bad about their bodies because of magazine covers and photoshopped ads. We are also influenced by bodybuilding covers and instagram pics of the pros and models.

One has to remember that these guys do not walk around 365 days a year looking like that. They trim down and go hardcore in the week before a photo shoot or competition.

Even the hardcore casual gymmer will only post photos when he looks at his absolute best. That includes almost no water retention, pumped up after a workout and even the lighting of the photo.

So just like women, we must be cautious of comparing ourselves to other physiques. Especially the ones in magazines, on stage of pro shows or even your Facebook model friend at a photoshoot.

What I'm trying to say is. Be happy with your body and your results so far. And use that to pursue the next goal. But don't feel discouraged when you don't look like Arnie after you smashed your best workout ever.

I'm not even going to go into the steroids and diuretics involved with most of the great looking guys.
