The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Good luck!

may the gainz be with you...

Lol, thanks. On the topic of skipping leg day, I can probably go a year of solid gymming before it becomes apparent I am skipping leg day. I struggle to put on muscle mass and age (40) probably isn't in my favour.

I'll probably incorporate some sort of bike work until the bio / physio / podiatrist clears me to do some kind of lifting.

Sup guys.
It's been a long ass time. Dunno if any of y'all remember me.
I haven't lifted in 2 years now - mostly due to injury.
Lost about 24 kilograms.

Well anyways. Muscle memory is an amazing thing. Started lifting again 2 weeks ago, might post here from time to time.

I do. Welcome back.

ps. Just dont start too fast up again, its much easier to hurt yourself again with muscle memory going too heavy too soon.

...
Like it was yesterday :) Yeah, start up slowly and check your ego at the door ;) That's probably how 90% of injuries occur.

Btw, did you revert to your 'skinny' self? Not poking fun, just curious as I recall you were under 60kg when you started lifting.

Hey guys can anyone recommend a good preworkout?

Been on jacked, seems to have gotten weak. Currently on nanovapour and I'm not impressed.

Ayyy yeah ****. My lower back has always been ****ed but my wrist was my own bad.
I'll stay in the 6-8 rep range for like - ever.
Unless my wrist magically decides to heal itself.

**** yes. I weight exactly 57 atm.
It's actually weird how your body reverts to normal.

To touch on the muscle memory thing, I was able to do exactly well, 3 pull ups upon gymming again. The very next time I was doing 6 3 days later.
That and holy **** did I forget what DOMS feels like.

but yush, I'm your typical nonlifting skinnyfat boy atm.
But I'm showing off my skinny arms with pride at the gym (if only so that people notice all the more when I pick up weight again:mad:)

While we are ITT.
I wanted to ask.

Protein absorption vs protein utilization

The 'we can only absorb x amount of protein per meal' has been debunked, but does that mean the protein is actually being utilized?
What if we absorb 50 grams of protein in a sitting but only 30 of that is being utilized. Does the 20 go to waste?

I'm a bit rusty, you see.

Latest I heard is that spreading your protein out throughout the day encourages more muscle growth than just eating all of your protein in one go.
