The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

You guys got any opinions on the best sups in SA? Currently using ON, but cant really afford to continuously get it.
Whats your guys' pick between Evox, SSN, SupplimentsSA and Nutritech. I know USN and Biogen are bull**** so they arent even a question. Im basically looking out for Creatine, Casien, Whey and possibly a BCAA if needed. What are some of the opinions here?
Thanks in advance lads.

IMO. Best value for money is Nutritech or Supplements SA for us people on tight budgets.

I'm not really on a "tight budget" as per say, but just cant afford all the expensive quality overseas supps if you get me. Like, if its another brand thats cheaper then im also willing to listen

ON is only expensive because of import duties last I checked (a while back). in the USA is much cheaper than here. My vote's for Nutritech, but I've only used their 100% whey.

Yeah, thats the problem :( . On bodybuilding.com its so darn cheap :(! 2.2 Kgs is currently +- R580 on bodybuilding, but its over a grand at Dischem and every other supp store :(

And I've heard that customs love stopping those orders if you every try and bring them into the country.

Get Nutritech from takealot. Been using there Whey and LG. Its great products and its made in SA.

Took creatine for a while - stopped taking it and didn't notice a difference - so I decided to save my money and not take it at all

will I build if I mostly use machines for training instead of free weights?

Creatine never did anything for me, no weight/water gain, no strength gain.

+1

I'm just finishing up this last batch and then I'm dumping it for at least 2 months. I will then take measurements right before I try it once again to see if there is any difference.

How many of you keep a log book of exercise, weight, reps and sets?

Started doing mine decently 3 weeks ago and it helps a lot to see if you are still progressing. Before that I reckoned I can remember everything. Nope. Doesn't work that way.

No log keeping here.

For now I'm just happy to keep some muscle mass and strength. Life is too busy, financial and other concerns.

Went to a health store to buy creatine. Decided to try it out since it's relatively cheap. The only brand they had was npl. Local brand, so what the hell.

Whats strange is how all the sales people always try to push you away from whey and tell you to use mass builders. No wonder those items are the top selling on TAKEALOT.

Health store? Do you mean a bodybuilding supplements store?

If they trying to push one product on your without knowing your goals then it's because they get a higher commission on those items I would think.

Fell off a horse yesterday and hurt my knee - going to stay away from the gym and hopefully the knee sorts itself out.

Correct. A supp store. That's my guess as well.
