The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

:) Anyway, some feedback on the double choc quest bars I bought. They are nice but the Stevia taste is a bit too strong. I might buy another flavour since I have some more Dischem gift cards at my disposal.

They are on the small side, at 60g and quite soft, its easy to go through it quickly. Compared to the USN 68g protein bar which was a struggle to get through it was so chewy:p

I recently parted ways with my SO and checking for companies that prep your meals for the week, as Im not ready to get back into the kitchen routine as yet... Noticed there are quite a few companies and some even specializing on meals for active/fit individuals. Did anyone on this thread use their services and if so would you recommend?

Never used any - but had a look into them before - and they are not cheap.

I just recently purchased the below, and I quite honestly cannot stomach the flavour, which is Choc Mint. I've come from Evox (Vanilla).

If there is anyone in Cape Town area, I'm prepared to let this go for R300. I paid R450 and I have used no more than 5 servings, if that even.

PM me if you are interested

Buy Ensure nutritional shake (chocolate flavour) and mix the two. Normal scoop protein powder and a one or two small scoops of Ensure.

I did it with Muscleworks strawberry and it very much improved the taste.

Ensure is addictively tasty.

Bought Nutritech Choc Mint 100% Whey, I should have chosen a different flavour as its not the greatest but I suppose I can live with it.

Anabolic mass is a sales gimmick

I actually learned this the hard way! I felt constantly bloated, and all it did was make my stomach bigger! About a day or 2 after stopping it, i started feeling way better. I would rather eat better to get the mass!

Agree. Real food is second to none.

Eat more potatoes if you want some "mass" and up the meat intake.

Too many people underestimate food

The main problem with me gaining muscle is that some dudes are hogging the free weights section of the gym for 90% of the time.

But the bigger problem isn't that they are using it ... the problem is that groups of friends are socialising at the benches.

But the biggest problem is that it isn't so easy to just walk up to the guys and politely ask them to hurry up, because they ARE working, but just at a too slow pace.

And besides, you try walking up to a group of three muscle-bound, testosterone jacked up dudes and ask them to hurry up. You'll either get a flat ignore or you'll get your ass kicked.

I feel you bro, lately when that happens I step over and ask if I can join their set otherwise how long are their rest in between sets.

Ask upfront.

I find it worse when people ask if I am done with the weights while they in my hand.
