Guys in need of some help - whey is almost up, looking at another 2.5-3.2kg order, what will be the best bang for buck one to get, currently on Nutritech and at R193.75 p/kg it is hard to beat, unless there is a hidden gem I'm not aware of?

Thanks, brand loyalty isn't the be all and end all for me, but I will obviously compare the price and then the micros per serving.

Saw the Dr yesterday...do have something going on. Got some antibiotics and some flu meds and off for a week. My back is feeling better as well.

also need actually havent used any for about 3-4 months now, time to gain some size for a change instead of losing it. perhaps more of a mass builder for me.

ideas?

Dex after looking around for most of yesterday afternoon and double checking this morning I went back with nutritech at chromeshop. The 3.2kg is still the best price point for me. I have never tried the more expensive brands, but I don't know what they bring to the table.

I did however order caffeine tablets from supplements world which has the best price point and I honestly can't afford to pay R300 for a month and a bit supply of pwo.
will keep you posted on the progress.

what kind of medication to clear a viral infection? what virus did they diagnose? sounds like what that guy who collapsed in the comrades had

You get anti virals to clear viral infections. I do think viral infections are a lot harder to fight with meds compared to bacterial infections. My sister had viral meningitis a while back and she was on drip after drip after drip of anti virals to try and clear it. Cant remember the name now, but it was made by Aspen Pharma.

Exercising with even just a normal flu can be dangerous.

Generally that is the case but bacterial meningitis is far more dangerous than viral meningitis which is rarely fatal. You have very little chance of surviving bac meningitis if you aren't give the right antibiotics asap.

One of my twin sons had bacterial meningitis when he was just over 2 yrs old. He spent 12 days in hospital. Luckily he was treated in hospital the week before for an infection, so the meningitis was considered partially-treated. Was a scary time as a parent, especially when reading about worst case scenarios.

I know. When I was in my very early twenties my friend's sister went to the doctor feeling very ill. Stiff neck the works. He sent her home. Diagnosis....the flu. That night she took a turn for the worse and was admitted. 24 hours later she was brain dead and they switched off life support. Meningococcal Meningitis.

That blows :( Cheap and effective testing for life threatening illnesses must just happen already. I get the impression that the science and means to make this happen is here already but red tape and what not means it's going to take a while before becoming mainstream :(

Earlier last week, I was also feeling sick with a stiff neck and huge headache. But I knew that it was because I had a particularly bad night's sleep that night ... or it could have been meningitis ...

... All I know with regarding to my health is the following ... the worse my condition is the quicker I recover. I could be on my deathbed with the flu ... and 4 hours later after a good nap, I would be fine.

But give me a slight sinus infection ... I'll carry it with me for weeks.

Cape union.... Anywhere that'll have outdoor equipment usually (think rock climbing)

I stopped drinking coffee after 10am and started feeling much better, I also sleep better as well.

I would never have though a 2x teaspoons of coffee at 15:10pm everyday would cause so much grief.
I thought with all the water I drink it would be flushed.
Cant be coincidence I drop coffee and feel much better in my chest, general well being and sleep.

I started a 2 week intro course at a new Crossfit 'box' in Century City. Apparently I have a perfect squat :p I take that with a pinch of salt but I guess squatting in the gym the past year and a bit helped get my form right.

I'm burning to start exercising again but still have a few days left before wife will give me the all clear. And I know not to test her boundaries ;)

Feel 100% again but she is holding me to the doc's orders of 2 weeks of no exercise at all.
