Exactly what I'm using now again.

I use it just after 17h00 on weekdays and early in the morning on weekends. No problem falling asleep my side. 20h00 is a quite a bit later than 17h00 so can make a big difference.

I also use Vaso-NO3 now, but used the stimulant one before.
I am considering moving back to Nutritech Dynamite. I train at 8pm, so also need that extra bit of a boost. I did find it difficult to fall asleep some nights.

+1 for the Vaso.

Great pump and vascularity.

I've switched back to pre-workout with stimulants as I need that extra little boost and motivation to get started after 11 hours at the office.

I'm keen to try it again, especially now that i'm doing LCHF. The energy levels are a lot lower in the gym.

I also struggled when I started LCHF, I now am on a mix of the following Bullnox, Red Line White heat and creatine.

Gives me more than enough energy. Pumps are great and I am super focused.

Forgive my ignorance, but does pre workout actually work? And how? Does it give you a "OMFG NOS JUST KICKED IN!" kind of boost, or just sustained energy through your workout? How does it compare to creatine with regards to a more natural increase in energy levels?

It's the one suppliment I can say you actually feel working without a doubt. Just take note of a normal workout then take the preworkout before the next one and compare. Usually you take it 30 minutes-45 minutes before you work out. The Nitrous just gives you that extra power when pushing heavy and you recover far quicker between sets, allowing you to push harder.

I would rather skip on whey and eat healthy and whole foods and take the NO suppliment if I had a choice of one or the other.

What are those exactly (bar the creatine)? Do they have caffeine? I see Bullnox has tribulus - I don't believe it actually does much personally. Also, I see caffeine in Bullnox - caffeine is OK if you're not sensitive to it. I crash 70% into my workout when I take a caffeine based pre.

The one thing with most pre-workout supps is it's good to leave them alone after some weeks - after a while you become very tolerant of them. Wait a while then go back on.

Dynamite is loaded with caffeine and
"This product contains 1,3-Dimethylamylamine (also known as Methylhexaneamine)"

What's the come-down like? How long are you wired for? Side effects? Or does it vary by brand?

Soz for all the questions, but I've found that when I've had a long- ass day at work, and sat for 1hr+ in traffic, getting the motivation to go to gym is really hard. If I had a decent pick-me-up it might be easier.

Start with something light ie Hellfire

Takes 25-45 minutes to kick in.

You turn into Supa Syan for about 3 hours up to 7 depending on your tolerance.

It'll give you what you need for the gym for sure, the side effects depends on the junk in there. Vaso-NO3 is as far as I can tell the simplest. The ones with caffeine often have loads... possibly equivalent to 2x filter coffees per serving.

Hellfire has 150g caffeine per serving. About as much as a strong, large filter coffee.

Of course it does, but the discussion started with a request for Caffeine free preworkouts ;)
I like their caps format - far easier than scooping powder.

I know I shouldn't compare, but I feel weak in my shoulders. I gym at home, so don't get to see what other guys are doing in gyms.
With dumbbell shoulder exercises, like side and front lateral raises - what size dumbbells are you all using?
I am currently using 7-8kg's. I've tried with 10kg's, but find myself arching my back to try lift which isn't good.

I started with about the same weight. I'm currently up to 16kg for side lateral and 22kg for bent over raises. But I am only doing a maximum of 6 reps per set (5 sets). It will drop significantly if I have to do 12 reps per set. Never done front raises because I get this weird clicking noise in my shoulder.

I must add. Shoulder day is the day I dislike the most.

Feels like fatigue kicks in so much quicker when only doing shoulders. And the burn I get from side raises is so bad sometimes that I have to stretch it out before continuing with my next set.

Currently on 15kg for side lateral raises doing 10 reps 5 sets.

Front I take a ez bar and do that pulling up movement not sure what it's called.

Arnold presses around 23kg 10 reps 5 sets.

Normal dumber shoulder press seated I do 7-8 reps at 37kg.

I also don't like front raises I get a weird thing feeling in my shoulders.

If you push hard enough, you should finish with those little pink 2kg dumbells your wife used lol.
It's less about the numbers and more about training to failure IMO.
I'm a Mike Chang fan - he shakes it up and has some good variations on different groups...

What do they call that exercise that's effectively the reverse of a fly? You bend over like doing bent over rows, but you do flys in reverse. I like to incorporate that into my shoulder workout.
