When I squat, it's almost ass to the floor. Did 2 reps of 220kg yesterday.
Yip, also go way down past parallel and pray I can come up again, nearly come short a couple times now and end up leaning forward to get up.

Oh lawd, I have a friend who's a personal trainer, been gymming for 3 years and is on gear and his 1RM squat is 170 kg.
You a god damn powerlifter brah
Nope. I don't even follow any kind of diet. Probably just lucky that I'm naturally stong, or something like that. /shrug
Just my luck.
I hit a PR in bench today (80kg x 5) and now I get sick again.
I'm not 100% sick yet, but I can feel it on my chest... It's coming >.<
You should really try physio, may get it healed much quicker than just resting it, and it getting hurt again all over.Dont you wish you could just bottle a great workout you had and then use it again and again.
Tweaked my left shoulder somehow, it's been dodgy for a while now, somewhere in the middle delt area I feel it most on wide grip pullups and it usually goes away but yesterday stayed.
Gave up on pullups and tried deadlifts but shoulder pain was there so gave up all together.
Only way to fix it is to rest
Squats today.
Hmmm, I wonder. I may have the same problem, I am not getting sick, but I can feel my immune system going up and down.If you keep getting sick you might find your diet is not sufficient, so the strain on your body is lowering your immune system.
Do you know of any good workouts a 50 + year old can follow (back problem and high cholesterol).
What is your goal? Weight loss, strength, all around fitness?
Basically the only exercise he does is picking up a pie and cold drink![]()

Bold part...as sad as that is, that is the honest truth. My dad, is in his early 60s, and last year December was my sister's wedding, and my dad didn't fit into any of his suits anymore. Instead of going out to buy a new one, he decided to lose 30kg weight instead. He did that in under 3 months' time, in time to fit into one of his original suits for my sister's wedding. The only thing he did, was change his diet, no extra exercise over what he was already doing, he only works in the garden and go for walks around the neighborhood.bromster said:My dad did that for a few years. Now he has type 1 diabetes and a heart condition. Pies are devil's food.
Just look at some low stress cardio (bike, crossfit, nothing with too much impact) and light weight training. Our VA is full of elderly people during the day. All of them seem to get along well, which makes it a lot easier imo. But no amount of exercise will yield results as quickly as a change in diet.
