LIGHT WORK!

Impressive. I want to start doing weighted pull ups and weighted dips but I can't seem to keep a dumbell or plate clinched between my feet or knees.

Will have to think up a home made solution soon.

Rope around your waist and through the plate

Ok so I found these guys http://www.bssa.biz/ . There stuff all looks good and the prices are nice and low.

Can anybody recommend to me what I should order If I'm looking to bulk up a bit and gain some sexiness.
Definitely keen for the Creatine Ethyl Esther to add to the protein.

that guy used to be here on the forum, under the name Ondier i think, not sure what happpened, i think there may have been some stink at some point.

I ordered from him in the early days, couldnt use the whey shake though i always felt flat on it, others like xrapidx though if i recall thought it was great.

best to go ready back as I cant recall exactly what or if something happened.

If you are looking to buy weights for home use. Makro is definitely the cheapest at the moment.

I was specifically looking for 2 x 20kg plates and I was preparing myself to pay the average R700 per plate.

Then wife decided she wants to buy a trampoline for our daughter and we headed off to Game, Mr Price Sport, Sportsman's Warehouse and Makro.

R690 was the cheapest per plate until we strolled into Makro, who had it priced at R460 per plate.

Ended up buying myself 2 x 20kg plates, an EZ bar and 2 new chrome dumbbell bars (because those plastic covered Trojan bars are utter crap) for less than I was budgeting on paying for just the plates.

Edit: could probably have scored a few extra bucks by going back to Game and asking for the deal where they beat the price. But I was happy buying from Makro and the service was great too.

Feedback: Thnx for the assistance on the dead lift grips, I'm finding the reverse right and overhand left is killer, I tried vica versa, worked ok but my lefty is a bit weak so it slips. Great advice, thnx.

Edit: Should add I pr'd 140 today, tried 5x5 but managed 2 out if 5 sets. As I always go for straight leg it pulled the fugg out of my back but Voltarens should get me good by Monday

Straight leg? As in Romanian deadlifts? Eish, that'll definitely do your back - careful, mate. :/

So, just had my first stronglifts workout. I didn't feel as big a tit lifting an empty bar as I thought I would. I wouldn't call it challenging but I did start to feel it towards the end.
I noticed that they don't have 1.25 plates at my gym. Would it be weird if I bought my own and took them along?

Form is more important than anything when starting out. You'll also notice you progress quite quickly in the beginning.

As for bringing your own plates...lol. One way to find out. :p

You'll need your own 1.25kg plates if you want to follow SL5x5 properly. I didn't get, but if you're so inclined, then go for it :D

On another note, I have had a couple of bouts of vertigo occurring about a year ago, it went away before I could see the ENT specialist. Feel something coming on again now... it has made me nervous about pushing too hard in case I spaz out and hurt myself :(
