So how is everyone progressing...? The festive season has been quite hard to say the least :D

I'm not a bodybuilder in the true sense of the word, but I work out about 5 times a week.
Now I know that your diet plays a huge (70-80 %) role in the overall results, but since I'm looking to gain some more muscle mass, would you say that using ISO Whey Protein (I'm currently using Biogen ) in conjunction with Creatine Monohydrate will do the trick?

And another thing: How often would you say should I change my workout program? I'm currently almost 2 months now on the same program.

Anyhow
Thanks!
Regards

ISO whey is the way to go, but biogen definately isnt, try SPS ISO whey, or if money is not an issue then universal's ISO whey, dont waste your time or money on usn/biogen

change your workout as much as you want whenever you want just ensure that keep the basics present - bench/squats/deadlifts/pull ups/rows, and dont train the same muscle group until its fully recovered

two months sounds about right, at least that is when my body gets used to a routine and I change it... to be precise it is 8 weeks for me.

Hi guys great thread can anybody tell me where to get authentic nomad labs eca tabs. I am in durban but i dont mind buying online either. I need eca in tabs as capsules are not halaal due to the bovine gelatin. Any help will be great. I started training hard in april this year and dropped 7% body fat down to 17% now, just cant get rid of fat on belly even with doing hitt on treadmill and reasonably watching calorie intake. I have thus far not used any roids etc. Just got to get rid of last 3-5kgs and then should hopefully see some abs. Thanks for the help

Biogen is also manufactured by USN so I avoid them. I've heard USN "puts" more effort into the manufacture of Biogen products than their own but I still won't use/recommend them. Personally I find normal whey concentrate to be sufficient from a price/"performance" standpoint.

Hehehe...I went to visit my folks for 10 or so days so I have been a bit absent. I did however manage to go jogging at least every second day so I managed to salvage some fitness.

Having a injury does make exercise difficult however, I find when the cardio starts going and I can go on a "fat burner" then my motivation levels skyrocket WRT eating and exercising otherwise I start feeling guilty If I don't stick to training. Normally that combined with constant monitoring of progress (ie. weight[although this is normally deceptive when you start losing kgs while gaining muscle] and for me personally measuring my strength and fitness levels). Doing that normally allows me to push myself a little bit further each week which makes training interesting and satisfying:) (for me at least :p)

For anyone wanting to get rid of a boep, chow fruit. I have been chowing watermelon and oranges like crazy and my tummy is no longer bloated.

Up to a point killa. All good things in moderation. Although fruits are a good way to supplement your diet a lot of them also contain a LOT of sugar. So eating fruit here and there=good. Stuffing yourself with only fruit all of the time=not so good :p

I have never seen a fat person who eat fruit all day :D.

"Fructose is broken down by the body slowly and is converted into
SUCROSE and GLYCOGEN. Fructose is often recommended for, and consumed
by, people with diabetes mellitus or hypoglycemia, because it has a
very low Glycemic Index (GI 23) relative to cane sugar."

Not so sure fruit can make you fat. Refined sugar and sugar from fruit are very different.

I tried just chowing fruit but wow that was hard.

*sigh*
Please go to a dietician and ask them yourself if you don't believe me:)
And fructose is not good for diabetes :erm:

Scientists have proved for the first time that a cheap form of sugar used in thousands of food products and soft drinks can damage human metabolism and is fuelling the obesity crisis.

Fructose, a sweetener derived from corn, can cause dangerous growths of fat cells around vital organs and is able to trigger the early stages of diabetes and heart disease.

It has increasingly been used as a substitute for more expensive types of sugar in yoghurts, cakes, salad dressing and cereals. Even some fruit drinks that sound healthy contain fructose.

Experts believe that the sweetener — which is found naturally in small quantities in fruit — could be a factor in the emergence of diabetes among children. This week, a new report is expected to claim that about one in 10 children in England will be obese by 2015.

:)

Yea but that is very mis leading because the amount in fruit is tiny and to me that article looks like it is suggesting one in 10 kids will be fat due to fruit.

There is no way we would have a fat problem if we only had fruit as something lekka to eat.

Hmm i will do some research got a hour or so before avatar.

Article is not misleading, I was merely pointing out that fructose is not necessarily good for diabetes, despite the low GI. Like I said eating fruit is good, but everything in moderation:)

Yea i have been reading now and as you say to much is not good.

Also i know this but drinking a glass of 50% pure orange juice is not the same as eating an orange for obvious reasons hahah :D.
