I just took a preworkout today for the first time

still have pins and needles 1 hour afterwards.

I feel very lovey dovey as well and happy for no reason O.o

gave my mom a hug, told her thank you for everything she does for me and she started crying.

Did you mix up your pre-workout with your recreational pharmaceuticals?

Can someone please advise on how customs duty & VAT calculated for orders from sites like bodybuilding.com? and if anyone experienced problems with customs not releasing the supps.

Thanx.

Importing supplements is not easy. Customs will force you to get a permit from the department of health, which you can get by having a signed letter from a doctor that he/she will monitor you whilst taking the supplements.

It wasn't always like that, in the past that was only for test and steroids, but the last I imported something as simple as mutlivitamins they even required it. You pay the normal import tax and vat, I believe you can get a document on the internet, I have the link somewhere.

So to sum it up, they will release it, if you have the required documents. Getting those documents are a mission, and I suggest you go to customs in your area first and ask what they will require, and get the documents before you place the order if they do require documents.

I just went to cape mail hub to find out, and later decided if they require all those documents that its too much work and rather get stuff locally.

Its called Testosterone and it can put you in a happy place :D

Ask women who take it to ease the hassles of menopause... Those who take it swear they are happy to put up with the moustache and would rip the docs head off if he stopped it :)

I love my workout fix.

You do know that's the standard of an Olympic bar?

Yes lol. Public gym then? Those things are pricey. I assumed you trained at home.
My gym is pretty well equipped but if I'm going to spend too much money on anything, it'll be adjustable dumbells

R2k+ for a bar is a waste for me.
*EDIT* and generally being a 40 year old ecto, I'm not likely to be bulking up beyond my current 80-90 frame, so don't have trouble with a lighter bar.

Yip... public gym, you're paying around 25 a kg now for home gyms, so I won't bother setting one up again, I used to have a full squat rack and around 200kg of weights. You also have more options at a gym, which you won't easily get at home, e.g. a leg press that handles 600kg.

btw - all those adjustable ones I've seen like that are crap, and pack up after awhile - the only decent ones are http://www.powerblock.com/

Tx for the link, wow... those look pretty cool. The obvious attraction with adjustable weights is the space saving. I only have two average sized rooms in the gym (converted flat), so a bit limited. I think I'm going to have to import from Amazon tho at the local prices...

I might take up a colleague's offer of bringing them over next time he flies - he has additional 40kg luggage on his platinum frequent flyers. Those things are pretty expensive in SA it seems.

My trouble is that I've spent so much on the gym including decent treadmill and other gadgets for the missus, though still way beyond commercial grade costs, there's around R20-30k in there if I had to replace it tomorrow. With work and travel, a 45 minute workout will get me home pretty late or up pretty early, so I'll likely workout at home for some time.

I would love to have a home gym, but currently that just doesn't make sense financially.
Company pays my health insurance, and vitality on top of that as a benefit, so going to gym costs me nothing, as long as I keep going and stay on the older model and not fall through to the new model they use.

Agree, it's cheaper, for me it's expensive when I put my time into the equasion... I'd rather spend it with family.

their prices are not bad at all.

Picked up 2x 7.5kg plates for R150 each from sportmans, they were right at the back from some special that must of been on ages ago. Normal price is around R180 for 7.5kg plate.

Thanks Hemps, I see they're R8500 including delivery for 41kg total powerblock (each dumbell). About R3000 more than Amazon's ex shipping price.
Of course shipping to SA via post box courier is an extra R7000 + lol. Hopefully I can get this on the plane with colleague.
