Is there some form of oil or something that would help with anxiety? Something that can be taken daily but does not produce a high.

Normal cannabis extract can do this in small enough dosages. Use the dilution I use for my coconut mixes.. 1:20..

The amount to take is about the size of a grain of rice. This what I prescribe people and it doesnt get them high. Take enough, sure, but at that dosage.. you are good to operate. I give a few females in my office for menstrual cramps/migraines and they take before work.

But this is surely something that needs to be taken daily for an extended period of time?

This is also for a female with anxiety when needing to meet new people or do presentations at work etc.

Would micro dosing shrooms not be a better option or would you need to take it on a permanent basis also?

I'm curious, does eating cannabis produce the same effect as alcohol?

Everybody is different, and I know for me, it stops my anxiety in its tracks. She would have to try it out, and go from there. I dont think she needs to medicate for very long to feel the benefits. I think day 1 should be telling.

I love shrooms, and microdosing them is great, but absolutely not before work or any sort of meeting. The amount Ive recommended should have almost no noticeable psychoactive affect. It calms you down just enough to deal with your anxiety. Some people however may need something stronger, with way less psychoactive affect in which case natural may not work that well.

Shrooms after hours helps loads though in general. I have 2g sitting at home for this weekend :)

Definitely not, but to an inexperienced user, it may feel similar until you get a control of yourself. But in terms of cognitive/physical ability being similarly impaired.. absolutely not.

Cannabis doesnt leave a hang over and in fact it cures one.

There has to be a drawback?
If it is your first time consuming cannabis-product, eating a Canna Cookie from Bobbygreenhash will have you experience something that you will describe as the worst experience in your life. You will be convinced that it cannot possibly be only cannabis; you will think you are poisoned and will naturally react as if you are: nausea, vomiting, anxiety, thoughts of dying or being already dead. If what I read here about a Burfee from Hash Mama is accurate, you will probably want to start a religion after eating one of those.
This is down to mainly 2 things:
  1. the volume of THC and CBD is very high and,
  2. eating cannabis has the THC processed by your liver into 11 hydroxy metabolite, which is 3-5x more psychoactive than THC. Think of it as smoking/vaping 3x as much.
The truth is that it is merely your consciousness trying to understand what is happening to your body and trying to fight it. You will have zero permanent damage, other than what you inflict on yourself physically and emotionally. You might feel a little under the effect for 24-hours or so afterwards but recover completely thereafter, with one helluva story to tell.

Even if you eat a whole box of Canna Cookies or Burfee, you will be alright. It is practically impossible to overdose on cannabis - you will most likely die due to complications associated with of the process of trying to overdose (ruptured stomach, asphyxiation, etc) long before you have enough cannabis in your system to OD.

If I have to offer up a drawback it would be that you can easily find yourself consuming cannabis on a daily basis because of the overwhelmingly positive effect is has. That may be seen as having a dependency on it. Fortunately there are many many variants available withing the 2 main strains with different effects, benefits and drawbacks, so you have to try and find which ones works the best for your mind, and body. There are no withdrawal effects from quitting cold-turkey, other than longing for the effects when you eat something delicious, watch certain movies/shows, having sex, etc. It is a stimulant, unlike alcohol, which is a depressant.

Use the attached image to get an idea of what strain offers what.

You make it sound so much fun...
As with anything you can push it beyond what is enjoyable. You can enjoy a glass of wine, or 2, or you can gulp down 2 bottles and not have such a good time. With dagga you will not have anything comparable to a hangover, even a mild one. The worst I have had was still not feeling 100% the following day until about 13:00 but that was after eating and smoking cannabis rather excessively the night before.

Its just that, FUN! The thing is, weed has been around for ever, and for as long as i can remember, its been demonized by people that think its the devils lettuce.

Weed is a natural thing, thats grown in the ground, that depending on how its used, can be medicinal or just plain fun!

Tried meditation?

If you have physical symptoms like racing heart, sweating etc. you could also consider a beta blocker prior to anxiety causing events.

+1 for meditation. There are numerous YouTube vids that can coach you.

Also, see whether you can find a strain that matches the treatment you are looking for at the bottom of this post and look for an oil that contains it. Be prepared, however, to fork out cash, especially if a selling is willing to specifically prepare an oil for you with the strain that you want:

The lady in question experiences the symptoms of sweating and faster heart beats but would prefer to use something other than normal medicine.

I doubt she will try meditation as she specifically asked would oil or something similar help when taken for a certain period of time and not permanently.
