Stupid question of the day - but how the dickens do you identify someone who is selling? I've hung out with various dudes who smoked who'd say oh you can always get on that corner or in that shop ... but as said corner and shop was next door to where I was working at the time (city center Cape Town) I was in and out all the time and never saw anyone I'd peg as selling, never was offered anything to buy. Never ever once been offered something to buy ever anywhere despite (for various legit reasons) being in some dodgyish places.

I've been tempted to try some just because I never have but do not have a clue where/how to find someone to buy some.

I mean is there a code. Do you just shuffle up to someone and ask? I know, stupid right.

What I usually do to buy in an area that I don't know any dealers, it's simple. Find the first guy who looks like he can smoke weed and ask him where can you buy some product.

9 out of 10 times I get sorted.

I've only ever had bad experiences with LSD, that is the type of trip i cant handle!

My earliest memory (about 10-12 years ago) of LSD was in Randburg, waiting for a bud at a petrol station around the corner from what used to be called "Natural Groove", we sitting there in the car, 2 grams of KAT, a couple J's and each had 2 stamps of "Red Heart" acid (back then, we'd keep them our phone covers, between the battery and the clip on cover) so my buds car pulls up with a policeman driving, and him sitting passenger and a cop van behind him, they come up to us, tell us to get out the car, and start searching the car...

Instinct kicked in, and i threw the tiny envelopes of kat out the window before they looked at us, and i got out the car, and put my hands on the roof of the car, while the cop searched me, he takes my phone out my pocket, and tells me to open the back cover take the battery out and put it on the bonnet of the car, i do this, but with 1 movement, i let the 2 stamps fall into the palm of my hand (1 by the way was for my bud that brought the cops, and the other was for me, for when we get to the club), and while they not looking i put them both on my tongue, and i start chewing on them.....

So after searching, all they really found was 2 joints, and a CD case that probably had 0.5grams of Kat on it if you scraped it off with a blade, and a rolled up R10, so they knew what was up, but, we weren't who they were looking for, they thought my bud was waiting for his dealer, and that they would score a big win/case or whatever.

Needless to say, they let us off with a warning, and some **** stains.

But then, that is when the "FUN" began, about 20mins in, we weren't even at the club yet, those 2 stamps started really kicking in, started with my heart, felt like it was was beating in my entire body, then the mother of all trips happened, i was fully aware of everything, but i couldn't distinguish what was real, and what was hallucinations.

I tried everything to come back down, tried smoking a blunt, locked myself in the car without noise or anything, but then i started seeing what looked like a wolf, coming towards the car, turned out to be a dog or a cat or something, kept hearing sirens in my head.

Sometime around 3-4am i started coming down from that trip, a lot happened between getting to the club and coming down, that still seems very vivid, yet liquid, (if that makes any sense?) i remember seeing something that looked like snakes crawling up the wall of the club, (apparently i was staring at the wall for some time) I also remember some people looking like they had horns or something...

To this day, i will never take any LSD or chemical type, mind altering drug.

Ah, I've had the Red Hearts before as well! Ended up watching American Pie in my bedroom. Apparently they were synthesized at Wits.

noooooooooooo idea LOL not actually looking for anything right now anyway. Vaguely tossed around the idea when my sister was here last, ran into the 'but where would we get some' issue and that was the end of that.

It's more like the question is a constant puzzlement, like the answer above - look for the dude who looks like he smokes ... ummmm yeah how is that? I can tell when someone right in front of me is not sober, but finding someone in the wild LOL not so easy.

Pick a parking close to a taxi rank. Pick an older carcguard ( nothing with age here, it is just my opinion that older people are more trustworthy). Hand him R30 and ask him to bring you some. Go shopping. Tip generously when coming back and receive the stuff.

First weed I ever bought was from a margate car attendant few years back over December.

Order it online man. It'll be safe and legit.

If you need to cold approach someone in real life? Ask the car attendant literally anywhere you go.

Been checking out some of the websites but as soon as I think I got it figured, I read something else that makes me double guess myself.

I'm looking for a strain with moderate THC and relatively high CBD. Primary use is for my better half to use for her auto immune disease to provide relief for inflammation. We've been getting her CBD vaping products but the supply is erratic and pricey and also it is supposedly more effective to have CBD and THC working together. Going for CBD effects with a chill vibe, for an evening smoke and relax.

Going to be exploring multiple methods of consumption (joint, edibles, I'm keen for a dry herb vaporizer, etc)

If it works out, will then be frequenting the growers thread, but for now, would just like to explore the possibilities.

Open to any and all guidance and suggestions, thanks folks.

Just a few random thoughts. First off you need to realize that to make any oil you are going to need a lot of cannabis. Looking at the local SA market one can only extrapolate that everyone is using local Swazi to make oil as it is the only cannabis available in the needed quantities and at a low price. Due to the variety you will almost never get the same exact oil again.

On the other hand you get some growers that work with proper CBD genetics and just grow clones of one plant to produce consistent CBD oil. Lots of crosses of Charlotte's Web etc but like you mentioned new research shows you need a combination of CBD and THC and most probably some of the other compounds we haven't yet studied.

Top of the line would be imported Canadian or Swiss CBD oil for real medicinal need.
