The Division

In a community podcast, Mathias Karlson, lead designer on The Division, admits that no one at the studio has completed Falcon Lost, the first Incursion mission arriving next week.

The only successful completion was done via abusing a bug that has since been fixed.

As long as there are no hard coded '10min timer or fail' events to deal with, my body is ready

Agreed with the timer. You see them on wave 8/15 in the vid they released talking about sets etc, and those still had purple enemies.
Something must go horribly wrong in the later waves... which I can't wait to experience.

I know it's unrealistic, but I'd really like to finish it first paythrough :D

Any PC players here? Add me lvl 30 rank 38
I play during the day and then late night.

When going to the vendors I sometimes find items that, according to the menu, show an increase in some of my stats but then after buying it it shows different stats in my inventory. Happens with weapons as well and this after removing all mods from said equipment. Am I the only one exp this? LVL 30 and Rank 37

I understand that some weapons the DPS is important like SMG since the spew out bullets and then there’s guns like the sniper/marksman rifle and shotgun that you should look at the damage of per bullet because there rate of fire is low.
I just don’t know how to compare items from the vendor with that of my equipment when after buying said item and equipping it the stats (DPS, Health etc.) goes down and not up as was the case when comparing it.

damage of per bullet

Rule of thumb, use this with every weapon

I went into a bit of detail on post #288

While each type of SMG is different in it's 'archetype' with different ROF/Mags/Recoil Patterns, as is the same with all guns across all the categories, ultimately if you want to min max...IMO use mods to increase how you want the weapon to kick :)

I'm busy testing out shotguns on my alt, very high risk high reward...One is None is madatory if you use a shotty. However, the distance (and safety) an AK or Pahkan gives you is very comforting in comparison :o

The "kick" of the gun, is that directly connected to the stability of the gun’s stats? Higher stability = less kick?

O and regarding the difference in stats change from vendor's menu to inventory (actually equipping the gear) as in the vendor's menu stats go up (green) but equipped stats go down (red). Any advice on that? Or how do you compare equipment from drops/vendor with what is equipped?

That should be happening a lot less since the most recent patch...Are you talking about weapons or armor. I haven't picked up any upgrades for a long time now (the downside to crafting 31 weapons)

Or how do you compare equipment from drops/vendor with what is equipped?

Generally I compare the base weapon damage first (removing all mods from my weapon), then weigh up the talents (Bleed effect vs +Crit Damage - easy choice). Pick the weapon, throw on all the mods and head to the Firing range to test out the weapon at various distances

Mostly yes, the AK for example needs quite a bit of stability (requiring you to sacrifice say crit until you find a +stab +crit)

So the shooting range actually has a use in the game…thought it was just there to fill up the space.
Regarding the inconsistent stats from the vendor and inventory, I was talking about armour. For example, body armour when comparing at the vendor would show and hp increase of 5000, then buy. Open inventory and see before equipping that now the comparison shows a drop in hp and dps

Thats interesting, if you come across this again please let me know. I'd assume it's not calculating out the differences correctly in the vendor screen and when you move it to your inventory, it adjusts the stats or calculates differently?

I may or may not have experienced this before but the only time something like this happened was when a chest piece I just looted didn't add the firearms to my total when equipped. I unequipped, logged off and back in and upon re-equipping the chest, it did add correctly

It has happend a few times, to the point that i dont buy any items from the vendors, except for weapons. but then again all my items i either craft or pick-up, but in the future ill try log-off and on. And ill take a pic and upload next time.

Hard mode dailies broken for two days now. :(b that's 60 PC lost.

But challenges still work.

Btw, 3 more days! I am coming home at lunch to start the update download so I can game right away when I get off work.

When does the new patch drop again? Tomorrow?

I reached DZ level 30+ this weekend and thought I need the blueprint for the 45, so I need Pheonix creds.
Obviously Daily missions will provide the most for you.
So for the last few days there was no daily missions.

According to a few posts it is due to the fact that the development thought the patch would have rolled out and stopped at a certain date on the server for not having them in anticipation of Incursion.

They just never bothered to correct the issue and will wait the time out until patch 1.1

I wonder if the glitch for the Russian Consulate will be fixed with the new patch where ou just glitch through to the Police stations and the boss fight starts immediately.

But with the farming this weekend there was a lot of glitches on the ps4 where you would fall through the floor and get stuck in the unknown basement of the game :)

Consulate was fixed with the last patch. Police Academy... exploit still there, but glitching through PA for 1-3 PxC is not fun.

I spent Saturday running CMs, and yesterday power leveling 3 friends - took 7 hours from scratch

So what missions except daily gives the most Pxc?

I was doing the final mission about five times yesterday and ended up with something stupid than 10 - 15 Pcx.
This farming is taking forever I need another 65 just to get my blueprint.

The following missions on Challenge will always give 30 PxC per completion

Lexington
Lincoln
Russian Consulate
PowerPlant

If for example Lincoln is the Daily Challenge, it would reward 50 (20 bonus) PxC for the first completion

I just run Lincoln Tunnel - with an experienced group it takes about 30 minutes and nets 30Pcx and HE-gear (ah the RNGesus - such horrible stat rolls). Have now about 400 Pcx and close to 100 HE crafting matts for each category (only electronics is sitting at about 30).

It is fascinating to watch how few people no the strategy of running a challenge mode such as Lincoln Tunnel. With a group of inexperienced pugs it took the one time 1 1/2 hours as they kept on rushing and dying at impossible places forcing me to suicide as it is impossible to rezz). With a good group of people you rush to the tunnel entrance, and climb to the top-right platform (FFS - why do people go to the middle platform), take out the 3 snipers behind you and the sticky-bomb the crap out of the 3 waves.

After disarming, people still insist on killing all enemies during the 2min timer, forcing endless waves of enemies instead of just leaving one enemy alive waiting for the timer to finish. Once you get to the last part, a ton of people either get one-shot wiped by the 4 snipers in the 2nd wave or they get wiped out at the end-boss. Based on that, I think incursions will be a PITA with random pugs as most people don't even bother listening to a strategy over the microphone - I have nowadays started kicking people off early if they decide to rush and die in the first wave of Lincoln Tunnel multiple times.

I hope Massive fixes those bugs on PS4 - nothing funnier than all of a sudden sinking through the floor and then being kicked back to the nearest safe-house.
