The Division

Where do I even find these daily challenges?

Or does it unlock at higher levels? Only 15 now.

A good enough case to run DZ.
That was the worse this weekend.
There was a band of about 8 - 10 Rogues teaming up and waiting outside safe houses to kill you the minute you come out.

I eventually left the DZ as they were moving through all the zones and just take everybody out they could find.
But I swear the worst is tat you help some one in a heavy fight and the wait untill its over and you run past to just shoot you in the back. (Everytime this happens the song "Why cant we be friends" pops in my head).

Got a good craft on my ACP 45 at least this weekend.

Aah makes much more sense then.

Damn thought I could level a bit quicker.
If you hit level 30 on SP then it will open.
Open up your map and hit left button it will shift and display a few things like the daily and weekly missions.

Just be prepared that most of the high end players will kick you out on CM if you have a low gear set, or you take to long to port to the mission (not always) but be prepared for that.

on another note
But damn the incursion is hectic if you don't have a good team, tried it five times but most of the time we either get killed way to many times in about wave 7 or people just leave while we are still fighting.

And the moment someone leaves, you then can't matchmake another team member into the already in progress APC fight

Might as well just all fast travel back to the beginning of the incursion :(

Is this on Challenging?
I haven't been brave enough to venture that far yet. Hard mode is getting better. There are still wipes once in a while, but they guys I play with understand the groove we set out. Forgetting which waves have the shotgunners is generally what costs us.

I hate this. Most of the time there would be 3 of our group on reliably, leaving one slot open for a pugger. If said pugger goes all Rambo and dies on the first wave in an awkward place, meaning no one will revive them, off they go, leaving our team of 3.

That being said, completed the last 3 waves with just me and one other before... a good player with good gear is quite fearsome in this game.

Quick way to get your Gear Set score up is to play with other players but do the SP missions on HARD or CHALLENGING (better challenging) because the gear loot drops are better (for the newbie player at least)

We helped get one of my work colleagues from level 100 (SP 30) to 168 by doing 4 missions on challenging - once the person gets above 160+ then they can venture into the DZ and it's on them, however, colleague in question just joins us and shares in the loot.

It does get much easier after wave 11 in my opinion, as long as you can handle the medics/div agents/heavies

Wave 15 is now my favourite, ignore EVERYTHING, nuke down the bomb carrier, plant /jumpingjack

Not unless you discount wave 14 I think, where you basically get mobbed by 4 or 6 chargers. That wave is the only one that annoys me, as it just seemed as though Massive was saying, "We'll undo hard work in one wave... Hahaha, lets see how much ire is felt when you wipe so close to the end".

Granted it's a lot easier each subsequent time you do it, as you expect them, it just felt cheap to make THAT the reason a team could wipe.

But yea, wave 15, run out of cover, kill agent, take bomb, throw down turret behind turrets, free bomb plant, GG.

Umm, with the "pit strategy" we've done this many times only to start again at wave 1

Minor correction:

Kill the agent first from the left side (of the arena) ramp of the pit :D

We may be talking about the same thing here, but if you're facing the APC, the bomb carrier spawns on the left. I take the "back" entrance out the pit to avoid turret shots, circle back left and kill the bomb carrier and possibly other agent if they were close by.

Honestly after that, it doesn't matter. Even if I have to use Survivor link getting to the turret control on the left. My turret attracts the fire of the guarding turrets, meaning I don't really take any damage anyways when planting.

Just to clarify, I'm the only one that leaves the pit. I may get help killing the bomb carrier, but after that no-one else needs risk their neck.

Henceforth the dance order shall be given upon victorious plant :D :D

(Sort of) Fun fact after planting the final bomb

Grenades/enemy seekers will explode or seek you out but no damage is dealt, I have yet to try test if bullets register during the final APC-getting-blown-up-event :o

I am still puzzled that people with a GS>190 can not get their **** together doing Incursion on hard. I don't look at gearscore, but my thing now is that if you die before you get to the APC room I will kick you as there is a 100% chance that the rest of the team will spend rezzing THAT guy.

I had good Incursion runs over the weekend and Monday (with crap drops) but with no dailies yesterday I tried to do Incursions and I aborted all 6 attempts (all with different people) as people either got murdered in wave 1 or decided to just Leeroy Jenkins the APC. It seems that matchmaking for Incursion/DZ attracts better players on weekends than during the week.

I would assume that anyone with a GS>190 has done incursions a few times and will remember when shotgunners come and will especially remember the snipers. Incursion CM I have tried twice and given up when a shotgunner one-shot killed me from a good 20m away (my 250K AUG and my 150K sniper hardly do any damage).

Only way to survive more than a single shot is Mobile Cover (+50% damage res) with Smart Cover (damage resistance scales up off skillpower)

--Unconfirmed below

Based off a hard cap discussion Smart Cover Damage Resistance seems to scale up to 75% max

EDIT:

I'm very reluctant to attempt CM with these pre-requisites...so to speak

What sniper do you run with Magicdude?

I still believe we're in the "time of the glitchers". I pugged with a GS202 guy who I would SWEAR had never set foot into the play area the way he was dying.

On the flip side, good communication with a GS 168, 162 and 174 ushered in a fairly easy win.

I concur on CM Incursion though. I actually have no will to even try that. Level 34 one-shotgunners.... not my idea of a good time :D

On a slightly different note, was really hoping for more fleshed out details regarding 1.2 in teh SotG today.

It's some M1A HE with +150% headshot damage - has a fairly good roll and I think it was 30K base damage - far superior to the Tenebrae (sp?) I used before. The sniper and the Aug melt throw enemies in DZ6. Despite my 82K health and 16K electronics I was one-shot recked in the DZ by a DZ-level99 guy. No idea how this was possible, but I generally find that I take enormous damage against real players in DZ (compared to Level32 NPC).

I did see an interesting strategy in HM Incursion on the weekend where two players placed smart-cover on either on top right (where the generators are) to slow down the mobs. Still a lot of dropping of first-aid/support station but we never had any one go down during the waves (sometimes the bomb-guy would drop on the way back). It is quite bizarre how much difference it makes if a player is just able to use talents/perks properly - the rest is then not a problem.

The 6 HM Incursion wipes yesterday were outright frustrating. When 3 players drop on you before the 2nd wave it is pretty much tickets - there will be zero chance to make it through to wave 14. In one run (first bomb) I placed the bomb, died halfway between turret control and pit and instead of waiting all 3 came rushing to rezz (and died).

Right now I am really trying to get to DZ75 (currently 67). I have no cash (due to re-rolling gear), had to drop spend over 500Pcx on useless stuff since I reached the cap before the weekend, have no DZ credits (only about 100K, I don't buy anything, but it does not seem to progress fast) and have hardly any matts (due to me trying to roll upgradeables for the Aug/Sniper).

Crafting is really up to ****. Over the weekend I wasted a ton of matts to get better mods for Aug and nothing was better than what I had (which is hardly average). All the mod drops are horrible (and salvaging does not product good enough matts). The drop rates in DZ32 are also crap - does DZ32 actually drop GS>182? I mostly get useless GS163 stuff and anything I ever pick up is salvaged anyway.
