@silkman: Maybe it's better to wait for this power supply rather than trying to power the drive with your PC just in case something goes wrong! I think that WD drives appear to be more compatble with the DroidTV.

will do bro and once again thanks for all the help

@silkman: I'm really hoping that either the Paragon app or the new PSU solves your problem!

Did you have any luck with getting your ADSL line speed increased to 2Mbps?

Gents,
This F10 remote story with the sound issues...my mx3 arrived today with everything preinstalled-fantastic service! But it seems if Soundabout is running I get no sound. I followed the instructions, soundabout on, "speaker" selected and f10 connected. No sound.
Restarted the device with f10 disconnected, still no sound.
Disabled Soundabout and rebooted again and then is there only sound.
I think I've gone thru all the options ito soundabout being ON-foreground, on-auto restart and on-stoppable....any ideas how to get this remote working?

Hi TheRobbo

Arietans took delivery of his 2GB MXIII yesterday and has the same remote. I'm sure he knows how to get it working correctly and will give you the details

I do know of some customers that have never used soundabout with their Mele F10 Pro. Can you try uninstalling Soundabout and rebooting, does your remote and audio work now? If it doesn't, there might be a more recent version available on the play store

Good luck

Hi Awesum,

I think there might be a few MXIII youtube videos that can get you familiar with the box, there are also a few tips and HowTos in this thread. If you are comfortable with Android, you will be fine. If not, ask any questions here and one of us will assist

Thanks AVSupply, uninstalling made the picture stutter worse and still no sound, but then installed the latest version from the app store and it has all the options available...selected hdmi and running smoothly!
Appreciate the quick feedback!!

I got my MXIII this week and have only now had the time to play. XBMC works as expected. I can stream videos perfectly and use the XBMC youtube app. But.....

I cannot log into my Google account with the pre-installed browser, It gives an instant net::ERR_FAILED error. The Youtube app says I should set date and time, which I set as Harare since that is closest and the time and date is correct... but still cannot use the Youtube or Google Play apps. It still says problem starting up (Youtube). Check connection or system time. I tried Google Play app and it goes to the login screen When I enter my account info, it tells me it Çan't establish a reliable connection etc. call customer care.

What am I missing? I thought this was a plug and play device. I have tried connecting my router directly to the Ethernet port. But still get the same errors. I can browse fine. I can even browse youtube with the browser. But the app does not work and I am stuck without being able to connect to Google Play. Very frustrating. Please help.

@subxero: I managed to log into my Google account without any problems. The YouTube app works very well on the MXIII. I am connecting via WiFi. Just make sure that you are typing your details in correctly as a comma might look like a full-stop on the TV screen.

I have done the login process so many times... so carefully, but always the same errors on both the browser and the Google play app. I can log in fine on my pc and phone using the same credentials, but not on the box. And the google app just does not connect, yet it does on my phone. Although, I have a Windows Phone.

I have even gone as far as to use my wireless keyboard and mouse on the box to make typing easier. Still no go. I have searched the net and found a lot of videos on youtube and guides which all 'fix'the situation. But I am not prepared to go that route. It seems a lot of android phones get the same errors I am getting. But I am not prepared to 'fiddle' with a plug and play device.

Can you check what versions of the apps that are giving you trouble? Just go to Settings > Other > More settings > Apps and open the app and read the version number. I have YouTube 5.10.3.5 running very well on my MXIII.

Can you try to connect the MXIII via wireless to the internet using your Windows Phone? I am wondering if there might be some kind of networking problem with your ISP. Just see if you get the same errors.

Hi subxero

No quick fixes needed, the MXIII should just work.

It could just be a caching problem, can you try remove the Play store app cache? Go to "Settings >> More Settings >> Apps >> All Apps > Play" and clear data and cache. Reboot and enter your credentials again

Those apps (Youtube & Google Play) do not show up in the list. The only apps which show in that list are facebook, Netflix, Hulu+ , Plex Twitter and XBMC.

Ok, found the apps, cleared cache for Google Play... but no go. Cannot establish a reliable connection.

You need to move right, after doing so you will get to "runnning" and then "all"

A USB mouse will help, click hold and drag the window right to left

did all that, cleared data & cache, rebooted and still cannot establish a reliable connection with google play app. I have tried this using my Telkom and my Vox accounts. Youtube still tells me to contact customer care.

I just tested a fresh box and it connected first time.

If you're still connected with a LAN cable, please go to "Settings >> Network" and make sure the "LAN" block is enabled and you see an IP Address. Also check that the launcher time matches the current time

Tried with LAN and connects fine to all services except Google Play and Youtube. In fact, even the GMail app will not connect. SO frustrating. My phone uses the same wifi and all apps etc. work fine. In the browser on the box, anything Google login related says that the page may have moved and a pop-up appears with an error instantly.

Hi saw you're problem. Remove Google account and follow steps below.
Can you go into settings/app manager and go to the right, where all apps are. Look for "google account manager" , "google play services" and " google services framework"
Clear the data and Cache. Also clear the Google play store app's data and cache as well as Youtube.
If all done, reboot and add Google account and test.

This sometimes happens and account gets corrupted, normally this method fixes it. Hope it helped you;-)
