The Droid TV thread

Cape Town-Waterfront. Is there any extra software that gets loaded onto this?

As I plan to do the following

XBMC
Netflix
Hulu
Popcorn Time
Youtube
Spotify

Lino if you purchase a T2 Remote, you get 1 extra free that you can give to me. :D But dont tell Jaque i said that ;)

ive asked her to change the batteries so will hear what she says. i dont mind the keyboard, but she will not like working with it.

I'm not suggesting you use the USB keyboard for navigation, I would like to check if the "Freezing" is caused by a bad remote

I can confirm that all of the above are working on the MXIII - I am currently using the Beta 2.3 version of Time4popcorn.

Screw that ... I want the F1 in 4K ... UHD no wait ... thinking of skipping the 4K thing and just wait for 8K!
I for one wont be getting a 4K TV soon - just don't see the point.
Oh b.t.w the 4K works pretty good on the MXIII - hooked it up at a mates house last weekend.
Then again ... I watch practice, qualifying, race day and even other shows around it ... and everything leading up to the event.

2 GB for me? Lmfao - erm no :p
4K 3D will do.

Bad news guys

ICASA and SAPS are busy raiding AVSupply :(

I'll update here soon

@heartbroken: Have you tried an older version of Netflix like 2.4.1? They have made many improvements to the streaming engine over the last year so it might be worth trying one of the versions that ramps up much slower.

Netflix 2.4.1 bitrate16x

Netflix 3.7.0 (the preinstalled version that I am currently using)
https://www.sendspace.com/file/rio4t2

I will try these over the weekend, I have 3.8.3 on there now. Works lovely on the LAN, wifi is a no go. Will report back as soon as I can test more versions.

OMW, why would they do that???

im sure AV Supply has things in order. Jaque keep us posted as to developments. i have a feeling somebody with bad intentions who are jealous has informed these people to check things out. Just my guess

Will do

How crazy is this, if the packaging doesn't say wireless, they not taking it!

Jaque in cellular eg, if a tablet does Voice, ICASA wants to know about it. You get charged extra for that feature as it is an add on. The same i think would apply to WIFI. if you add wifi to the box, it should cost you more as a reseller as crazy as that sounds.
