The Fallout 3 Thread

Being an original Fallout fan and having played Fallout 3 for 20 or so hours already I must say I'm not disappointed. It still feels like the Fallout universe and the humor is still pretty sharp. The visuals are stunning and there's nothing so satisfying as blowing the head off of a Super Mutant in all its gory glory.

I think this is a good addition to the Fallout franchise. Obviously things are different and it's pretty difficult to compare the first person viewpoint to the original games. I think hardcore fans might complain and find fault (after actively looking to find all the flaws), but I'm enjoying it.
 
Fallout 3 Rocks but it was a bit weird when almost everything reminded me of Oblivion even the cheats are oblivion based like the money cheat player.additem f 999999999 but the game is awesome with the awesome slow motion and i like blowing the heads of ghouls and making a protector frenzy,most of all the grapics look great on my Nvidea Gforch 8600 GT.

Fav weapons:ripper,hunting rifle,plasma mine,fatman and of coursh the mini-gun

cur location:vault number 2 u visit.
fav monster:Ghouls

I have just arrived for the first time at Rivet city after plenty of side quests :)

I must say the Brotherhood of steel guys look a lot more gay now :/ I remember them as big-bad ass psychos in armor with miniguns and lasers. I used to dig wearing their armor and what not and having to find that special power cell or whatever so that I can wear my own :)

Now that I have read about Dogmeat on this forum I am going to run back and try find the lil ol bugger :)

By the way my favourite in the old fallout was that I could do jobs around town like be a part of the next caravan thing which is what I loved doing to make extra cash. Don't they have this anymore? :( What about placing you in a boxing ring or something?

I like to think of Bethesda's Fallout 3 as a much more neutered version of the originals :D

But yes, Dogmeat = awesomeness :D

If you haven't been to Underworld yet, I advise you to go :) Meet Charon - he's a bundle of laughs.
 
hey can anyone help me i'm stuck at the abandoned purified project where u have to help the science people escape i can't get past the blue laser and if posible can someone tell me where to find this guys midicine?

I was involved in an intense encounter with some robots and as usual dog meat ran off into the distance to kill one of the robots. By the time I got to them, what was the last robot killed dog meat.... The battle was intense, and I couldnt for the life of me remember when the last time I had saved was. I decided that unlike the 50 times before, I wouldnt be loading for dog meat's sake. I was getting pretty irritated with him to begin with. Getting in the way, and running off to kill some super mutant I couldnt even see. I kinda miss him though... rest in peace dog meat!! :(

Well there is a cheat to make him immortal :D
 
How to find Dogmeat:

Goto SCRAP YARD, walk around, and you will find him, you will get a gun fight and what not, when you get to the area of the gun fight, Dogmeat will be there with a dead guy...

How to find Scrapyard:

Scrapyard is a location south of Minefield. From Vault 101, it is northeast, past the Potomac River. More specifically, from Vault 101, in your map it is 3 squares north and 3 squares east almost exactly. It can be hard to find because it is somewhat of a depression in the ground. Looping along the south side of Scrapyard is an elevated railway, and south of that is geography sloping downwards into the river basin.

The Scrapyard can be entered through several breaches in the southwest, west, or north sides or through a gate on the south side.

I havent had time to properly play, currently I'm in Megaton, just running around doing some side quests for cash.
Me wants rock-it-launcher from moira...1195 caps is a lot of money though...
