Also does it have a battery charger?

Internet seems to suggest it's a 220v motor.. going by some pics (if they are of the right motor) the housing is filled with massive motor, no space for a battery..

i am not too sure on that particular motor but if it doesn't default support a battery it isn't that simple. is there even space for a battery in the housing?

Will open it up tomorrow and have a look but am feeling doubtful. Does this mean I will need a whole new motor setup if it runs straight off 220v or can the gate people convert it with not to much cost?

if so best bet is a new motor... or a 220v backup solution...

If it's 220v, would be more cost effective to get a new motor that has a battery included..

Hi all.
Looking for some help. My gate does not have a battery and I would like to put one in. I have not opened it up yet but is it as easy as buying a battery and wiring up to the correct place.

Are some gate 12V and others 24V?
It is a Hansa deluxe 1 and probably pretty old.

Hansa motors, a few years ago, were the holy grail of gate motors. Kinda like a good vintage Rolls Royce, they are still pretty much bulletproof today. Unfortunately the eyeties bought them and all innovation ceased. Call Simon at Gate Repair Services for advice.

this...unless it is plastic on plastic, then the tape. make sure you wrap it (even the tape) the right way. Also people understand the difference between a compression fitting and a non-compression fitting. compression fittings do not get tape, in short, if there is a rubber to be compressed, it don't need the tape/hemp

Yup it's hemp didn't know that till I did my bathroom renovations.

Anyone have innovative ways to removing pool safety covers, the ones with the poles - thinking of creating some sort of harness you can pull from the center of one side.... pain in the arse needing two people.

Anyone got any ideas. Exactly the same problem here... Big pool, hedge on one side, so even with two people it's a pain. I envisage some kind of pulley high up that attaches to my middle hook and pulls it in. Folding it one piece at a time, running around as one pole half falls in and the cover fills with water is getting very old!

I like your thinking... Fyi those bars dont slide easily, so pulling higher up makes sense...

Has someone tried anything like this before? Or do i need to be the guinea pig (oink)

Thats exactky what I was thinking of doing, just need to figure out how to get it to do one section at a time.

That doesn't mention voltage though? If you're looking for a normal 10w LED floodlight, I picked up 4 for that price at ACDC. Tiny things but the light they give off is impressive.
