The iOS 13 Thread/Discussion

You know what, when they first brought out Animoji I thought it was retarded and I only ever fiddled with it a little bit when I got the FaceID phone.

But Memojis I actually find quite cool because you can use them across the board in all apps and it adds a little bit of personality.

Memojis is their answer to the Bitmojee use created by their own void.

Comparatively I prefer Bitmojee.. less androgynous and more personality and customisation than the Apple equiv.. nice 1st try.. but meh.

I need to Google that. I'm not hip enough with the kids to even use normal emojis properly.

Has anyone faced any major bugs on iOS 13? I get onto Twitter and see people complaining about WiFi and Bluetooth issues and yet I have neither, phone connected fine to my car and to both my home WiFi and office WiFi when I came in this morning.

Everything seems good..... *knocks on wood*

Running 13.1 here, no issues for a few weeks.

Yeah, I am running 13.1 Beta 4 on the iPad, and it’s great.

People are saying the issue is with the Official 13.0 update that was released last night.

I am running the official 13.0 on my XS Max but not seeing any issues.

I'm not so sure I like the dark mode. I'd prefer something a bit more soft/grey.

I’m not a supporter for dark mode and just put it on automatic and forgot it’s there a few days later, so in typical Apple fashion it’s transparent like that.

The only place I hate it is in Apple Mail, but I hate that new version even in normal mode because it’s just so bizarrely designed.

Automatic is the way to go. Ease myself into it...

Grabbed my old 6s out of the drawer and installed 13.1 this morning. It’s just so smooth it feels like it did the day I got it 5 years ago. I seriously love this size of phone and if it had the battery strength of my XR, I’d seriously consider using it full time again.

The Android bunch are always harping on about iPhones being outdated tech and behind the game, but is there any Android that would feel and work as well as it did 5 years ago?

New update adds Shortcuts automation.. but I think they need to rename it as “handicap automation”.

Basically u can trigger things but it merely adds a notification that the user is required to click run on.. epic fail.

I suspect you are doing it wrong.

All the ones I tried worked automatically.

It may depend on what kind of automation it is exactly.

well it was location based, i.e. turn on low power mode and disable wifi when i leave home.. and then the inverse at the office.. but what i noticed was i just a notification that i had to click on to run.

PS. Phone was not locked as i have it open for Waze. (seems there is an issue with locked state too)
