Well I could not stand my htc dream anymore (after 4 months), and I am back to the iphone, just could not wait for the end of december, paid the penalty and am now waiting for delivery
 
Tell you, I was forced to upgrade in Aug (due to my ol iphone 3 not having enough mem for email attachments from work), and the only thing that was available was the desire. But after 4 months I am done with this android thing. Don't get me wrong it was a life saver when I bought it, but the lack of great software and total lack of standards on software design is driving me insane

True, you get lekker spoilt with Apple stuff hey ;) I can't even use a PC anymore without it peeing me off... ;)
 
I gave my old iphone 3g to my wife (well it was basically her contract, but since I am paying for it....), and now she does not want to give it back!! I have to wait till she's asleep before I can just touch my ol 3G

+1, got a rooted Desire and I've been customizing it. A good 70% of apps I've installed off Android Market exhibit typical Beta type symptoms suggesting they incomplete works. They buggie and sometimes don't function at all!! I totally understand Apples obsession with the closed ecosystem which is app store. One look at Android market and it all makes sense... Since getting my iPhone 4 the Desire has been relegated to back up device...

I have to wait for the girlfriend to sleep before i touch her "stuff" as well:o

Yip, seriously Android need some kind of verification or QA process for their apps. I have about 15 apps that I loaded from the market, and not a single one has the same interface. And just to root your phone is a process and a half, give me jailbreaking any day of the year.
 
there is so much iphone bashing that goes on.. does anyone know of anyone who has an iphone (jailbroken etc) who is unhappy with it?

I do, but it's almost always someone who blames the rest of the world for their own problems... Long story
 
ok I have Iconoclasm and Shrink. I have a 5x4 icon layout. I am managing to shrink my icons to 90% so that they fit well, however, I am having problems with the folder Labels. They are overlapping. Changing the "badge" percentage in Shrink, is not working. The Icon labels are remaining the same size. Anyone got any ideas?

i managed to get them working.. found the latest version if iphonedelivery.deb needed to install it from a command prompt on the phone but it works perfectly now on ios4.1..

let me see if i can find the link to the deb file for you..

Thanx :) but i'm over it, don't bother with delivery reports anymore, AT&T doesn't like them much anyways....
 
Sorry haven't been working on an iPhone for a couple of months (having withdrawals here), so I am out of the software loop, but doesn't irealsms provide delivery reports on txt messages?
 
I eventually dumped iRealSMS - it never works properly after an upgrade and it takes forever to get it sorted. Also the buggy betas were getting on my tits.

not true delivery reports no, it allows you to add the delivery report parameter switch at the beginning of your text message automatically, but not all networks (vodacom being one of those) support that, so, worked for mtn, not vodacom/cellc, idelivery modifies the outgoing sms base instruction set to request a delivery report the correct way, not using the text parameter switch
