Yeah it sucks... You should've tried testing out to see if it actually works before dishing out your $$... :)

There is a disclaimer I read somewhere, that its possible that it might not work on all networks :eek:
 
The only SP I am not sure of is Virgin, all the others have been reported working. Perhaps its just a small setting. Tell us what you are using, maybe we can give some suggestions.
 
Where have you been fxit? Uni not treating you well?

Have you managed to get MMS up and running? You with Vodacom no?

Hmm u could say that.. but i think its mainly due to the recent acquisition of a PS3 :)

i've got the 2.1 ipsw on my PC. gonna upgrade this weekend though when i get a chance

as for SwirlyMMS, i haven't downloaded it yet so i cant give feedback.. will download it now and post my results. Yes, im with Vodacom :D

i use them cos they're the most user friendly and easy to read posts..

cut out all the crap and politics involved (late release date, fights with zibri etc) and get down to the point haha :D

and theyre usually pretty quick with updates too

Yeah, that about sums it up. iphoneschool ain't too bad either, but I trawl iC mostly.
 
Hmm maybe Vodacom are blocking MMS connections coming from an iPhone?

EDIT: Scrap that it's working just fine. After a few more tries its working!!(receiving anyways haven't tested sending)

Sending ain't working though :(
 
hi guys i just received my iphone 3g from igear i have put my sim card in and entered pin it acccepts pin but there is no signal please help what must i do

Call igear they claim that you should be unlocked, for the price you paid you should not have these problems.
