Winterboard and MacBookAir keyboard

I installed the MacBookAir keyboard as part of Winterboard. After that my phone app kept crashing while trying to make a call...although I could receive calls. I had to do a restore to my custom firmware which got it working again.

Do you think it could be the MacBookAir keyboard and Winterboard which did that? I kinda, liked the keyboard and typed much better on it with my thick fingers.
 
I don't think its Winterboard. I have a few that I know of that use Winterboard. It's probably the keyboard that is causing the problem. You should've just tried removing the keyboard/winterboard, instead of restoring.
 
Apple Releases iPhone 2.0.2 Firmware

Apple has released a new 2.0.2 iPhone Firmware update for download through iTunes.

The new version has no specific description besides the usual "bug fixes" notation.

If you have a 3G iPhone and would like to jailbreak and unlock it we suggest waiting until PwnageTool is updated to support this firmware.

UPDATE 2.0.2 software
I have downloaded and installed the latest firmware from Apple. My 2G iphone is running the official 2.0.2 software.

Very easy to install if you have a 2G iphone and you do not use the Installer or Cydia.
Dock the phone and sync to have a backup for incase something goes wrong.
Download the .ipsw file

Open Itunes again and do a update no a restore (UPDATE)
After the update the phone will restart and you are done.

I have checked all apps that I installed - OK
Exchange mail and other mail clients - OK
Calls in/out - OK
Wifi - OK
Edge - OK
Google map feels quicker
Jumping between sms and contacts is much better.

I will keep you guys posted

You can even just hit update in iTunes if you want :) It should pick up the new firmware shouldnt it?

Just beware, Installer and Cydia will disappear... If you want to keep those, you'll have to wait for the new WinPwn / QuickPwn version..

Unlock will stay though..
 
Yes you can just hit update.... you will loose the pwnage 2.0.2 and cydia + installer 4 Beta.
If you hit restore then you will have to re-pwnage the phone and run the update.

What's the Google Maps coverage like on the iPhone for JHB and CT? I know that the online version of Google Maps is awful for SA, but interestingly enough it seems the supplier of SA info to Google Maps is practically uptodate! (Like a few months out perhaps.)
 
Need help again please. A few of my Apps from AppStore are crashing when they open, in other words, they start loading, then close.

Any ideas?

Oops, free Apps from AppStore, ie SimpleRSS, used to work, now crashes on opening, but there are a few. I have shut down the phone and restarted. Should I hard reboot (hold down home and power) ?

If you've turned the phone off and on already, a hard reboot's not going to make a difference.. All a hard reboot does is force a reboot (for when the phone is not responding)

What you must do is : Delete the apps that are crashing (in your case SimpleRSS) by making the icons jiggle, and pressing the black X on the applications.. Then go back to the app store and re-download the app..

See if that fixes it
 
Cool! Thx, worked a charm. Looked it up on a few different sites, with all kind of recommendations, from Authorizing your pc, to downloading any free App, to deleting any random app. Nothing worked, but this did! Thx again!
