Hey all!

I'm trying to set up my iphone wifi to work with my wireless marconi router. It works fine in routed mode, but does not want to connect to the net in bridged mode..

Any help on this?

Not sure what version of iPhone firmware you need, this one is 2.2.

Total waste the 32GB for me - I hardly use the 8GB on my current iPhone but will upgrade for new features.

Well I have a 5th Gen iPod (30GB) I use in the car which is about full. So if my iPhone could take 32GB then I could consolidate down to one device

But yeah, the size is not such a big deal, but it is still cool to see how things advance.

Nope. I have Cycorder 0.9-5
Copied over your binary (permissions to 775)
Cycorder just crashes (immediately) and throws me back to springboard.

EDIT: My original binary had permissions set to 755. Tried that with the new binary too...no luck.

Won't you try this for me in Putty/Mobileterminal?

apt-get install ldid
cd /Applications/Cycorder.app
ldid -S Cycorder

That will pseudo-sign the app..

Hope it works cos this is what I did and it's going strong!

seems this is not working in putty (havent really used putty before though, but have SOME knowledge)
Mobileterminal seems to be working. (apt-get install ldid is a bit slow though... prob my slow internet connection. )

and problem solved. Seems it is working 100%

What version are you on? It's best to stay on the latest version anyways because of stability and additional features such as that.

You can add the iClarified repo in Cydia though which has an Auto Correction off patch..

Address is: cydia.iclarified.com

You have to be jailbroken obviously..

You could probably also download SBSettings with the AutoCorrection toggle depending on what version you are on

you have a lot of improvements to experience! i'd say get updating ASAP! i assume it's a 2G iPhone as well then?

by 2G i meant 2nd generation.. as in not the new 3G iPhone

it has a silver back?then it's a 2G iPhone but in your case 8GB (like mine )

iTunes will backup contacts and that for you.

Make sure to follow those instructions at iClarified carefully. Restore to 2.2.1 firmware (link provided on the site) and then after you have jailbroken and that you can connect it up to iTunes and it will ask you if you want to restore the backup to it or not..

Alternatively , you can upgrade to the 2.2.1 firmware, but the only problem with that is it uses unnecessesary space up on the phone which you cant get back.

If you're really worried about losing stuff, then you can upgrade to 2.2.1 rather than restore.. Otherwise, shift-restore to 2.2.1 is recommended

If you follow those instructions on iClarified you shouldn't have any problems though.
