The guys that I paid $5 to activate my UDID now wants $12 in order to subscribe me to a 1 year membership with him!

These guys are coining it by just selling activation slots on their profile!

I told him I demand it to stay active until the last beta of 3.0 otherwise I'll report him to PayPal.com... :D

uhm, if it's the same email i got for him, he's not asking for 12 us$, he's asking for 7 (difference between 12 and 5), and he also doesn't say he'll remove your udid, he just says he'll give you access details to his account, so you have full 1 year access to the dev profile, pretty much what we tried to do

he specifically said he won't disable any udid's, the extra is if you want full access to the dev profile
 
How many slots are available? 100?

So thats 99 x $12 - $1188. For an account that cost $99 to setup?

I really don't think they are going to light up the back logo - i mean what a waste of battery usage.

If it lights up it will be spill from the LCD, so it's pure cosmetics and there is no extra drain.

Wait for theron.roland to answer you there... Apparently it might help with push notifications in the future but it doesn't work with me so I just use internet.

i'm not that predictable??

nothing confirmed, but the chatter is that the push notification service coming in 3.0 would require a customized apn, to date there has been no difference, but when os 3.0 releases we might see the reason behind the madness...

who's still dabbling with os 3.0 beta 5? anyone else finding mms unstable?
 
Hey chaps, well as of 7:45 this morning (courier guy woke me up) I took ownership of my new iPhone and all I can say is wow, what a phone. Really is awesome just to hold.

One question though, maybe a dumb one, but should sound be coming out both speakers at the bottom of the phone, because at the moment it only comes out one. Normal?

I think the logical next step is to Jailbreak this baby. ;)
 
yes , there is only one speaker on the bottom, the other is the mic

One more Q - I don’t normally put covers on my phones, but figured I best look after this one, what covers/skins would you recommend for the iPhone?

Really depends on what you like. I loath those silicone covers and have instead gone for a leather slip pouch. If you have tendency to drop phones however a sturdy silicone case is probably for you. Some people complain that they struggle to get them out of their jean pant :p
