Welcome to the thread Grims!
Yup you def need to jailbreak. Refer to page 1 of this thread and if you have any questions we here to help...
Hope you enjoy the iPhone![]()
Really depends on what you like. I loath those silicone covers and have instead gone for a leather slip pouch. If you have tendency to drop phones however a sturdy silicone case is probably for you. Some people complain that they struggle to get them out of their jean pant![]()
hello.
dont know if its been posted here before, but there are a lot of pages to go through, so I will just ask.
My iphone 3g 8 gig, gives me a no sim signal, even tho my simcard is inside. It is happening more frequent now, that it say there is no sim card in. anyone else experienced this? is it a fault on the phone or my simcard?
thank you for helping.
nicci
Does it do it all the time or only sometimes?
How old is your SIM and what network provider are you with? I've heard Virgin SIM cards have this problem a lot!
Hello Fxit_manLong time no speak.
Erm, it has done it about 4 or so times in the last couple months. Yesterday, when i wiggled the place where you insert the sim, it worked again.
I have a vodacom sim, and its about 2 years old. What could the problem be?
Thank you!
Does anyone know how to jailbreak with the 2.30 baseband? Am I being dumb?

thanks,

If your phone is from Vodacom you don't need to worry about basebands! Your iPhone is officially unlocked!
Just update it to 2.2.1 in iTunes and then use QuickPwn 2.2.5 (www.quickpwn.com) and jailbreak it! Make sure you download the right version of QuickPwn pls.
Hey lims, I did that and the jailbreak worked, except I had no reception on the phone at all when it restarted. All it said was 'no service'. I followed the iClarified post on page 1 and got - QuickPwn-225-2.zip. Is that wrong?
I've heard the 3G guys have this problem after a jailbreak, but they all fix it after doing the jailbreak 1 or 2 more times.
As long as you followed the links in this post, you should be fine.
Therefore, I assume QuickPwn-225-2.zip is right.
Just try do it once or twice more. And don't worry![]()
