Well, some adviss(sp?) from me. Don't try jailbreak with a Cell-C SIM in the phone, gives the no service error :) (wife's phone)

solved, just disabled 3G under settings and got service, can't wait to port over to Vodacom.

Has anyone got Cycorder working?

I'm pretty skrik to install stuff now in case it gives me the AOD again..

Maybe if we all contribute we can get a confirmed working list going..

For me-

okay so I have installed OS3.0. I am very happy that I can MMS finally but here is the problem I have looked everywhere but the tethering is no where to be found. I also want to know was OS3.0 supposed to give the ability to send files via Bluetooth? If so HOW? I have spend many a hour trying to fig this out but to no avail. I have checked around the forums but cannot get any conclusive answer. Morkhans, Fixit anybody?

I would forget about tethering for the moment if i were you until Vodacom released the MobileConfig file to allow us to set it up (if they decide to enable tethering)

No bluetooth file transfer unfortunately.

Haven't tested iBluetooth yet, but it worked nicely for me on 2.2.1

WOW thanks for the quick repsonse. I am with MTN :D, iBluetooth where will I be able to get that? Apple or is it a Cydia (Jailbreak thing)?:rolleyes:
BTW there is not place on my Settings > Network to activate the tethering

Yeah a Jailbreak thing only.. Also, you have to pay for it (unless you wanna go the cracked route :p)

Not sure if it's working on 3.0 though. Will let you guys know as soon as i find out..

Regarding Cycorder:
Cycorder works on 3.0. It has a glitch in the video list table, but the video preview is now full-speed, /even when showing an ad/

my thoughts:

- i would stay FAR away from iBluetooth, the way bluetooth is accessed has changed completely on the phone
- i'm getting wierd icon inconsistencies, my cydia and icy icons have the icons of apps i deleted off my iphone earlier (i'm thinking the springboard layout now saves the actual icon, not just the app name)
- my ipod touch is asking me if it's allowed to use my current location (i.e, it thinks it has a gps, this might just be an iphone os 3.0 thing though...)

does anyone know if pdaNet is working?

Must admit i don't completely understand the difference between Redsn0w and the unreleased QuickPwn, but mainly because I don't care..

Got me 2G 3.0JB up and running with PwnageTool on Mac :D
 
Here are NOT the vodacom settings and the way to set up tethering.. :(
