Sorry to be a pain, but I have to following few questions


I have version 3.0 ipsw file name (Iphone1.2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw (230mb) ex Morkhans. Clarified website has the the same file for download.

So the Question beckons

1. Do I download it again (I hope not)?
2. Do I do the restore as per website instructions or do I go straight to the STEP3 and start the Redsn0w application.


The reason I ask is. The last time I tried to jailbreak it ended up in tears. I has to download the Apple official software after the whole thing crashed.

Any advice will be appreciated.

posting this while tethered to the iphone (after applying new ipcc)... computer wifi off, so definitely phone's internet connection, phone is on 3G.... muahahahahahahaha

would love to help test and get a working ipcc, but my lack of 3G iPhone is prevent me from doing so..

it's the first time i've been able to tether over 3G network in any way/shape/form, so i'm hopeful...

rebooting to enable mms now....

that way the guys can just browse to it with their phones, and it will activate the settings automatically

hmm no morkhans would be able to put it on his server tho probably?

unless we find another direct link hosting place internationally.. then people can just access it via their phone 3G/EDGE/GPRS etc.

Are you using Wi-Fi or 3G or what?

Have you put the APN in under Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network ?

Try "iphone.vodacom.za" or "internet" as the APN

Not as easy as the Vodacom one as MTN, CellC, Virgin Mobile are not official carriers. So we'll have to make a custom carrier bundle which will be a little bit trickier.

Will let you guys know once I decide to mess around with it tho.

I am with MTN my APN is internet. I have tried it on the office WiFi also and got the same result so I dnt know
