How do I get Cydia on my 3G?
Slowly![]()
Should I use QuickPwn 2.1?
and does the jail breaking process somehow add Cydia?
How to: Enable Battery % Indicator on < 3GS
1. Download M86AP.plist from here
http://www.4shared.com/file/113188452/9434236e/M68AP.html
2. Go to /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/ and replace the M86AP.plist with the downloaded one from above (make a backup in case)
3. Settings -> General -> Usage and there will be a Battery Percentage toggle
Nope, you need to use redsnow...
Follow the steps in the link and you should be fine.
Here's a link you could follow which should help with the jailbreaking...

Which app are you guys using to be able to open the root?
OpenSSH?
Is it just me, or does your phone feel a little slower since the upgrade to OS3?
Yeah definitely Grimspoon
It fluctuates as well, sometimes the apps open and close fine, and other times the animations freak out a bit. I'm hoping they'll release some performance updates soon enough...
Ok, well at least it is not just me.
I would actually consider going back to 2.2.1. The "upgrades" to me are really not worth the performance knock to be honest. The only thing I actually like or use is the landscape modes thoughout the phone.
I won't go that far. The animations feel slower but the apps etc. seem to be fine. Come to think of it, I'm sure they'll be able to fix that in future...so far the 3.0 updates have been a godsend as far as I'm concerned, never thought copy&paste would be all that but I've noticed that it does actually come in pretty handy. But more than that it's the small things that make life better, like being able to select multiple images for delete, the ability to switch between landscape/portrait while typing...
I hate OpenSSH, rather try this:
1. Open Cydia and move to the Search section
2. write “iPhone-notes” in the search and install the repository
3. Go to the “Changes” and install the package called “asBattery”
4. Install it
5. Reboot iPhone
[EDIT]: I just noticed there's an option in SBSettings under "more->extras and options" to enable battery percentage

Whats the bet they made it slower on purpose so that we all want to upgrade to the 3GS
Crafty bunch of buggers!
Im busy downloading 3.0 right now. Is it worth it? Or is it too slow?
Please help!![]()

I mean yeah I would say it is worth it for landscape, copy paste and a few other things...Its not painfully slow, But I deffinately notice my phone is sluggish compared to the old version.
